Abstract: A system and method for evaluating and improving the security of a local area network including an application residing on an external server configured to conduct a penetration test of the local area network by interrogating each of the devices on the local area network to identify vulnerabilities and risks associated with those devices, receiving a report listing all such identified vulnerabilities and risks, calculating an IoT readiness score for the local area network, and undertaking and/or recommending specific actions for improving the security of the local area network.

Abstract: The aerosol-generating device includes a housing, and a power supply configured to supply electrical power to a heating element by way of a transformer assembly within the housing. The transformer assembly includes a magnetic flux guide, a primary circuit including a primary winding extending around a first portion of the magnetic flux guide and electrically connected to the power supply, and a secondary circuit including a secondary winding inductively coupled to the primary winding and extending around a second portion of the magnetic flux guide. The number of turns in the primary winding is greater than the number of turns in the secondary winding. The secondary circuit includes at least two electrical contacts configured to form an electrical connection with the heating element.

Abstract: A server device may receive a first request to utilize surplus parking spaces available at one or more locations from a first device associated with an organization having an inventory of vehicles to be stored in the surplus parking spaces. The server device may process, between the organization and one or more parking providers associated with the one or more locations, a transaction allocating the surplus parking spaces to the organization. The server device may receive, from a second device, a second request to use a vehicle in the inventory from a starting location. The server device may determine, from among the surplus parking spaces allocated to the organization, a storage location for the vehicle that differs from the starting location and transmit, to the second device, a notification indicating that the vehicle is ready for use based on the vehicle having been moved to the starting location.

Abstract: Techniques are described for forecasting and dynamic routing of incoming routing service requests in a service environment that includes one or more call centers. Implementations apply a doubly stochastic modeling technique to modeling call volumes, call wait times, calling handling times, and/or other parameters in a service environment that includes one or more call centers that include multiple skill codes for the service representatives. By simultaneously modeling on different time scales, such as modeling both inter-day and intra-day correlations, implementations are able to provide an analysis that exploits more of the structure in the data compared to traditional techniques. Implementations can also integrate in other types of time series for other effects that may impact the call volume or other parameters in a service environment, such as exogenous and/or anomalous variables that are independent of other inter-day and/or intra-day trends exhibited in the data.

Abstract: A power analyser for analysing an electrical supply to a load, comprising: a processor; an analogue signal module interfaced with the processor, wherein the analogue signal module is configured to: make analogue signal measurements of the electrical supply, and provide raw analogue data corresponding to said measurements to the processor; and wherein the processor is configured to: access a model suitable for, or associated with, the electrical supply and/or the load, and generate a modified electrical supply estimate in accordance with the model and the raw analogue data.

Abstract: Methods and systems are also described for generating qualitative graphical representations of the standardized metrics. For example, in order to allow contributors to intuitively understand and compare the standardized metrics, the methods and systems convert the standardized metrics into graphical representations that allow for a qualitative comparison of contributors. This conversion includes the retrieval of the standardized metrics and the use of non-conventional techniques for filtering the metrics based on dynamic criteria to generate software development scores that may be used to compare different contributors.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatuses are described herein for the direct sharing and use of transaction data separately from transaction authorization processes. Transaction metadata associated with a transaction may be received and validated. Authorization information corresponding to the transaction may be received. The degree to which the transaction metadata is tested may be based on a predicted time of receipt of the authorization information. The transaction metadata and authorization information may be correlated. A computing device may determine whether to authorize the financial transaction based on the authorization information and the correlated transaction metadata. All or portions of the transaction metadata may be provided to one or more users after the transaction has been authorized or denied.

Abstract: Methods and systems are described herein for improvements to authenticate users, particularly authenticating a user based on data known to the user. For example, methods and systems allow for users to be securely authenticated based on data known to the users over remote communication networks without storing the data known to the users. Specifically, methods and systems authenticate users by requiring users to select images that are known to the users. For example, the methods and systems may generate synthetic images based on the user's own images and require the user to select the synthetic image, from a set of a set of images, that is known to the user to authenticate the user. Moreover, the methods and systems alleviate storage and privacy concerns by not storing the data known to the users.

Abstract: A method and system of intelligently alerting and/or routing vehicles to improve driving safety is disclosed. The method includes sharing data collected by vehicles in different locations to determine whether the presence of dynamically moving objects such as animals and pedestrians will affect traffic conditions for other vehicles on the nearby roadways. If the system determines there is a likelihood of such objects being obstacles to other vehicles, an alert can be automatically presented to the drivers of the impacted vehicles. The method further includes generating routes for the driver that avoid, or limit, the driver's exposure to the obstacle.

Abstract: In order to facilitate electronic meeting scheduling and coordination, systems and methods are disclosed including receiving, by a processor, a plurality of electronic meeting requests to schedule a meeting. The processor determines, for each electronic meeting request, meeting room needs. A meeting scheduling machine learning model is utilized to predict parameters of meeting room objects representing the candidate meeting rooms based at least in part on the meeting room needs, schedule information associated with a respective electronic meeting request and location information associated with the respective electronic meeting request. The processor causes an indication of the candidate meeting rooms to display in response to the electronic meeting request on a screen of computing devices associated with the respective attendees based at least in part on the predicted parameters.

Abstract: A lower packer, seal stinger, upper packer, running tool, and setting tool is positioned into the wellbore. A force is applied by the setting tool, which causes the seal stinger to be pushed into a seal receptacle of the lower packer. The seal stinger is pushed by pushing the running tool which causes the upper packer to be pushed which causes the seal stinger to be pushed. A force is also applied by an internal rod of the setting tool to pull the running tool which causes the running tool to hold the lower packer in place as the seal stinger is pushed into the seal receptacle. The running tool and setting tool is then removed from the wellbore, wherein the lower packer, seal stinger, and upper packer comprise the straddle assembly.

Abstract: In some implementations, a server device may receive, from a client device, a script identifier, that identifies a script, and an indication of whether the script was successfully executed by the client device. The server device may determine whether a condition associated with disabling the script is satisfied based on the script identifier, the indication of whether the script was successfully executed by the client device, and stored information determined based on a plurality of indications of whether the script was successfully executed by a plurality of other client devices. The server device may selectively cause a data structure to be updated to indicate that the script is disabled based on determining whether the condition is satisfied. The data structure may be used to indicate whether the script is enabled prior to execution of the script.

Abstract: A system that detects and reduces impaired driving includes a first sensor that detects information indicative of a sleep pattern of a user, and a second sensor that detect vehicle operation information. The system also include a mobile electronic device communicatively coupled to the first sensor and the second sensor. The mobile electronic device includes a processor and a memory. The memory stores instructions that, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to determine that the user is impaired based on the information indicative of the sleep pattern of the user, and determine that a vehicle is in operation based on the vehicle operation information. The instructions also cause the processor to perform an action to reduce impaired driving in response to determining that the user is impaired and that the vehicle is in operation.

Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to techniques to facilitate online commerce by leveraging user activity, specifically search activity for goods/services on an online platform. As described herein, the online platform refers to a turnkey e-commerce solution that enterprises use to manage electronic transactions involving their goods/services. Some techniques are directed to an improved online platform operative to predict a user's intention behind a search query and after a consider number of search queries, to have that search query as a dynamic search filter for the online platform. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

Abstract: Provided, in an aspect, is a method for improved management of transaction data from a financial services computer network. The method includes receiving details for a first purchase, detecting that the first purchase is a trigger purchase, obtaining secondary details for the first purchase, receiving details for a later-made second purchase and additional purchases made between the first purchase and second purchase, and determining that the first purchase and the second purchase belong to the same experience set and that the additional intervening purchases do not belong to the same experience set as the first purchase and the second purchase.

Abstract: Methods and systems are for a content delivery management platform that organizes and monitors content delivery networks by the applications, features, or functions that they serve. The content delivery management platform is agnostic to the content delivery network. To provide this functionality, the content delivery management platform uses an abstraction layer to interface between the content delivery networks and the needs of the content provider (e.g., the owner of the content delivery management platform) as it serves users (e.g., provides the applications, features, or functions).

Abstract: Systems and methods for computing data privacy-utility tradeoff is disclosed. Large data hubs like data marketplace are a source of data that may be of utility to data buyers. However, output data provided to data sellers is required to meet the privacy requirements of data sellers and at the same time maintain a level of utility to data buyers. Conventionally known methods of achieving data privacy tend to suppress components of data that may result in reduced utility of the data. Systems and methods of the present disclosure compute this tradeoff to establish need for data transformation, if any, before data is shared with data sellers.

Abstract: A method and a system for estimating a pipe property for a plurality of nested pipes. The method may comprise determining the pipe property from the plurality of measurements, wherein the pipe property identifies a feature in the wellbore, forming a pre-computed table of responses for the at least one channel comprising a plurality of points that sample the pipe property, and performing a model-based inversion to estimate the pipe property using the plurality of measurements, the nominal properties of the pipes, and a fast forward model based on the pre-computed table of responses. A system may comprise an electromagnetic logging tool and an information handling system. The electromagnetic logging tool may comprise a transmitter, wherein the transmitter is a first coil and is operable to transmit an electromagnetic field, and a receiver, wherein the receiver and is operable to measure the electromagnetic field.
