Abstract: A device for positioning a coronary stent within coronary arteries is described. The device has a housing having a cylindrical front part and an internally-threaded cylindrical rear part connected to each other by a slot allowing the cylindrical rear part to rotate around an axis. The cylindrical front part of the housing is provided with recesses for fixing a coronary guide. A runner is provided with projections for engaging an internal thread of the cylindrical rear part of the housing. The device includes a structure for clamping disposed in a threaded runner cap. The runner is disposed inside a retainer with ears projecting into side holes on both sides of the housing. Clamping is operable by rotation of the rear part of the device housing. A method for positioning a coronary stent within coronary arteries is also described.
Abstract: The device is a body with a truncated anterior portion and a cylindrical posterior portion, which are interconnected such that the cylindrical posterior portion of the body is rotatable about its own axis. The inside surface of the cylindrical posterior portion of the body is provided with a thread that is capable of engaging a lip of a slider disposed on guides inside the posterior portion of the body. The slider is connected to a barrel of a gripper having vanes with elastic elements at a delivery system gripping point such that the gripper is rotatable about its own axis, wherein the vanes of the gripper have protuberances disposed in a clamping cylinder which is arranged inside the body of the device and squeezes and releases the vanes of the gripper under the action of a release member.

Abstract: A body of a device for positioning a coronary stent or a coronary balloon within coronary arteries is described. The body is formed of a front part and a rear part. The front body part represents, on the one side, a truncated part having a tubular extension with a cutout for connection to a Y-connector and, on the other side, successively passes into a cylindrical part, a cylindrical smooth part of a smaller diameter and a runner guide. The smooth surface of the rear body part is housed over the cylindrical smooth front body part, and the inside surface provided with the circumferential double-thread for engaging with the runner protrusions is housed over the runner. Through-holes for introducing the coronary stent or coronary balloon delivery system inside the device housed in the body are formed in the tubular extension of the front body part.
Abstract: The invention is suitable for use in medicine for maximally precise, safe and quick positioning a coronary stent in case of simple and complicated anatomical lesions of the coronary bed as well as for stenting renal, visceral arteries. The claimed device comprise a body with a tail portion, a screw rotation wheel, a screw, a slider with a cam, a bush with clip and a rubber coupling provided thereon, a wedge comprised of two members, a spring and a lock button arranged in the body. In preparation to use the device, the coronary stent on the delivery system is first successively introduced into the device whereafter the coronary stent on the delivery system is manually advanced to the affected area of the coronary artery, the delivery system is locked in the device and the stent is positioned within the coronary artery by means of the rotation wheel.
