  • Patent number: 10435647
Abstract: A method for preventing a redeposition during washing of dyed fabric or garments made from natural and synthetic fibers is provided. The method may include admixing 0.1% to 1% of at least one anti-redeposition agent to an aqueous bath depending on the total weight of the dyed fabric to be washed. The anti-redeposition agent may include a water-soluble polyester made from bio-renewable raw materials. The water-soluble polyester may include a reaction product of a polyglycerol mixture, a sugar alcohol, a sebacic acid, and one of an unsaturated fatty acid, a saturated fatty acid, a fat or an oil, a polylactic acid, or polyhydroxyalkanoate.

  • Patent number: 7285523
Abstract: The instant invention discloses an enzyme-containing granule comprising: (a) a core granule comprising one or more enzyme particles; and (b) a water-soluble polymer coating therefor which substantially completely encapsulates said enzyme particles, wherein the polymer coating comprises a water-soluble or water-dispersible polyester resin, which comprises a reaction product of 20%-50% by weight of waste terephthalate polymer, 10-40% by weight of at least one glycol and 5-25% by weight of at least one oxyalkylated polyol.

  • Patent number: 5958601
Abstract: This invention relates to the synthesis from PET (virgin, recycled, post consumer, or precursor raw materials) of novel water dispersible or water emulsifiable polyester resins having improved hydrophobicity or non-polar characteristics. These characteristics give the applied film of these dispersions or emulsions much improved water repellency while at the same time retaining their redispersible or reemulsifiable properties. Such resins can be used for many applications in the paper, textile, coatings, paint, construction, and other industries.

  • Patent number: 5820982
Abstract: Water-soluble or water-dispersible and curable polyester resins are suitable as binders in various applications. The resins are reaction products of polyterephthalate, sulfoisophthalates, polyols, polyacids, end acids and crosslinker agents. Waste terephthalates can be utilized. The preferred polyol is pentaerythritol. The resins can also be used as dye levelling agents when dyeing synthetic fibers.
