Abstract: A weapon system includes a long gun, such as a rifle or a shotgun, a handgun, and a bracket secured to the rifle or shotgun around the barrel. The bracket permits swiveling and firing the handgun while attached to the long gun. The bracket includes a swivel ball joint below the long-gun barrel and an attachment brace that releasably connects the swivel ball joint and the handgun. The handgun may be a semi-automatic pistol where a slide moves back and forth when fired. The attachment brace has a top section and a bottom section. The top section goes around the slide so that it does not interfere with its movement. The bottom section contacts the handgun below the slide to securely attach the handgun to the rifle or shotgun.
