Abstract: The present invention provides an electronic device for deterring insects, said electronic device being attachable to any domestic object; said electronic device comprising: (a) a bipolar source of electrical energy; and, (b) at least two conductors in electrical communication with said bipolar source; wherein said insect deterrence is obtained by constantly providing frequently oscillated high-voltage applied by said bipolar source to said conductors such that the maximum current obtained from said bipolar source is limited to a level harmless for men and pets.
