Abstract: In a human machine interface (HMI) apparatus, powered by a power supply, an assembly unit binds the apparatus to the user's hand. A laser determines the location of a cursor on a display interface of a host machine. A mode switch is used to switch among a touch mode, an air mouse mode, and a monitor remote control mode. A sensor captures motion signals from a user and a transmitter sends signals generated by the apparatus to a receiver in communication with the host machine. A control module transfers a user's motion signals to the transmitter. A button acts as a left mouse button when in touch mode and a key can act as a left or right mouse button. Remote control keys are also provided. The assembly unit can take the form of a glove, a portion which acts as a linear acceleration sensor and air angular velocity sensor.

Via the computer interface module in the computer PC box and the television interface module in the television TV box, the computer and the television are connected, and the television internet and the interactive entertainment are realized.

Abstract: Method and apparatus for an input device. In an embodiment, the present invention provides an apparatus that is designed as a hollow-out glove, which can be worn on the wrist of a user. This apparatus has three working mode: touch mode, air-mouse mode, and action-induction mode. In touch mode, it works with laser-positioning device to identify the user's moving motion; in air-mouse mode, it works with multi-sensors to capture user's moving motion; in action-induction mode, the apparatus can track all the directions of user's moving motion. This invention also provides a method to operate this apparatus. It makes it possible to position accurately in the space and capture the user's moving motion.
