    Abstract: System and method for online publication. According to an embodiment, a user stores contents on a web site, and based on the screening process and negotiated terms, the user is compensated accordingly. In certain embodiments, a user is compensated based on results of a periodical competition program offered by the web site. For example, a user whose writing wins a weekly contest, which is decided by subscribers, is awarded a publishing contract. In certain aspects of the invention, various techniques are employed to protect user contents.
