Abstract: A method for preparing selenium compounds, comprising following steps of: A. hydrolyzing lignin to obtain multiple-structural polyphenolic compounds; B. reacting the multiple-structural polyphenolic compounds with at least one kind of inorganic metal base to obtain multivalent phenolic hydroxyl carboxylate; and C. reacting the multivalent phenolic hydroxyl carboxylate with SeO2 to obtain multivalent phenolic hydroxyl carboxylic acid selenium complex salts, wherein the multivalent phenolic hydroxyl carboxylic acid selenium complex salts are organic selenium composition.
