Publication number: 20160148577Abstract: A display device of active matrix type allows reducing display brightness non-uniformity that is caused by initial variation and fluctuation over time in a driving transistor for emissive elements in pixel circuits. The display device includes pixel circuits, a measurement circuit and a gradation voltage supplying circuit. Each pixel circuit includes the driving transistor and an input circuit. The measurement circuit includes a constant current supplying circuit for generating and supplying one or more constant currents to the input circuit of the pixel circuits in a time division manner. The measurement circuit A/D-converts output voltages of the constant current supplying circuit and calculates data relating to electron mobility and threshold value of the driving transistor. The gradation voltage supplying circuit supplies to the pixel circuits a corrected gradation voltage, which is data corrected on the basis of data calculated from the measurement circuit.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 28, 2015Publication date: May 26, 2016Applicant: SHARP KABUSHIKI KAISAInventor: Nobuhiko TSUJI

Publication number: 20140014941Abstract: A color conversion film that absorbs light from an organic electroluminescent part emitting blue-green light and converts the light to visible light at a longer wavelength. The color conversion film includes two different dyes. A first dye is a polymer dye with an average molecular weight of 1000 to 1,000,000 that absorbs light incident on the color conversion film and transfers the energy of the light to a second dye. The second dye is a dye that receives the energy from the first dye and emits light. With a multicolor-emitting, organic electroluminescent device including the color conversion film, it is possible to achieve excellent conversion efficiency without increasing the thickness of the color conversion film as in a conventional device using a binder resin. Such an organic electroluminescent device may include as well a pair of electrodes at least one of which is a transparent electrode, and an organic electroluminescent layer sandwiched between the electrodes.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 23, 2013Publication date: January 16, 2014Applicant: SHARP KABUSHIKI KAISAInventors: Toshio HAMA, Masaru NAGAI, Chong LI, Koji KAWAGUCHI, Yuko NAKAMATA, Naoyuki KANAI

Publication number: 20080055642Abstract: It is the object of the present invention to enable various information processing by combining an image processing apparatus with peripheral devices without equipping the apparatus with device drivers or application software for each of the peripheral devices. By connecting a plurality of image processing apparatuses (digital multi-function peripherals), peripheral devices (USB-Hubs), and a server that manages the connection between these digital multi-function peripherals and the USB-Hubs and is equipped with device drivers and application software for various types of peripheral devices to be utilized by connection to the USB-Hubs by a network, the present invention enables utilization of the peripheral devices that can not be utilized by connecting directly to the image processing apparatuses in combination with the image processing apparatuses.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 20, 2007Publication date: March 6, 2008Applicant: Sharp Kabushiki KaisaInventor: Masakatsu Nakamura

Publication number: 20040101202Abstract: A coding and decoding apparatus is constructed so that the coding side transmits coded data together with identifying information for identifying the device of decoding the coded data, and the decoding side is capable of storing a number of decoding schemes so as to perform decoding based on one of the previously stored schemes. The apparatus further has devices for storing the received tools and tool-correspondent information which numerically represents the capacities of the tools so that it can make a comparison between the decoding capacity and the processing capacities of the tools to determine the possibility of the operations of the received tools. Further, a set of the tools are hierarchized so that the coded data produced by the n-ranked tool can be decoded by the (n+1)-ranked tool.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 8, 2003Publication date: May 27, 2004Applicant: Sharp Kabushiki KaisaInventors: Takeshi Makiyama, Seiji Sato, Noritaka Koizumi, Tadashi Uchiumi

Patent number: 6381442Abstract: An image-forming apparatus is provided which includes a document reading section for reading image information from a document, and an image-forming section for forming an image on a sheet of paper based upon the image information of the document read by the document reading section. A space section is formed below the document reading section, which accommodates the image-forming section and serves as a discharge section to which the sheet of paper bearing the image formed in the image-forming section is discharged. The space section is surrounded by peripheral walls of an apparatus main body including the image-forming section. The image-forming apparatus further includes a paper post-treatment section that subjects the sheet of paper bearing the image to post-treatments, such as an adjustment process and a stapling process, in a virtually horizontal state, and that is placed between the document reading section and the space section.Type: GrantFiled: October 24, 2000Date of Patent: April 30, 2002Assignee: Sharp Kabushiki KaisaInventors: Motoaki Okitsu, Atsushi Saito, Yasushi Matsutomo, Shinichiro Hiraoka, Tadaaki Kawano, Kimihide Tsukamoto, Susumu Murakami, Takashi Makiura, Haruyoshi Migita, Yoshiaki Ibuchi, Tomohiko Okada, Akira Kohno, Hideshi Izumi, Minoru Tomiyori, Kunihiko Sakaguchi, Kouji Aoki, Takateru Yamamoto
