Abstract: Novel pyridine-2-carboxamide derivatives of formula I: and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof are disclosed as useful for treating or preventing type 2 diabetes and similar conditions. The compounds are effective as glucokinase activating agents. Pharmaceutical compositions and methods of treatment are also included.

Abstract: A molded product manufacturing method and a molded product manufacturing apparatus are realized, each of which has improved quality and productivity of a molded product. A pressure to be applied to an upper mold (ML) and a lower mold (ML) is reduced in stages during a process from a start of decrease in internal temperatures of the upper mold (ML) and the lower mold (ML) to a complete mold-release of a resin component (W). This prevents an excessive load from being applied to the resin component (W) which has been molded but has not been mold-released.
Abstract: A method is provided for controlling printed ink horizontal. cross-sectional areas using fluoropolymer templates. The method initially forms a fluoropolymer template overlying a substrate. The fluoropolymer template has a horizontal first cross-sectional dimension. Then, a primary ink is printed overlying the fluoropolymer template having a horizontal second cross-sectional dimension less than the first cross-sectional dimension. In the case of a fluoropolymer line having a template length greater than a template width, where the template width is the first cross-sectional dimension, printing the primary ink entails printing a primary ink line having an ink length greater than an ink width, where the ink width is the second cross-sectional dimension. In one aspect, the method prints a plurality of primary ink layers, each primary ink layer having an ink width less than the template width. Each overlying primary ink layer can be printed prior to solvents in underlying primary ink layers evaporating.

Abstract: A method is provided for fabricating a cyanometallate cathode battery. The method provides a cathode of AXM1YM2Z(CN)N.MH2O, where “A” is selected from a first group of metals, and where M1 and M2 are transition metals. The method provides an anode and a metal ion-permeable membrane separating the anode from the cathode. A third electrode is also provided including “B” metal ions selected from the first group of metals. Typically, the first group of metals includes alkali and alkaline metals. The method intercalates “B” metal ions from the third electrode to the anode, the cathode, or both the anode and cathode to form a completely fabricated battery. In one aspect, a solid electrolyte interface (SEI) layer including the “B” metal ions overlies a surface of the anode, the cathode, or both the anode and cathode. A cyanometallate cathode battery is also provided.
Abstract: A base station device and a terminal device efficiently communicate with each other by using a PDSCH. The base station device and the terminal device determine a starting position of an OFDM symbol for a PDSCH in a serving cell based on a transmission mode relating to transmission of the PDSCH, a DCI format that is used for allocation of the PDSCH, an antenna port that is used for the transmission of the PDSCH, and a higher-layer parameter that is determined from a parameter set for a serving cell in which the PDSCH is received.
Abstract: In its many embodiments, the present invention provides certain C2-azaspirosubstituted iminothiazine dioxide compounds. The novel compounds of the invention are useful as BACE inhibitors and/or for the treatment and prevention of various pathologies related thereto. Abstract: Systems, devices and methods to improve safety and efficiency in an operating room comprise providing a suture package that holds new suture needles and needle receptacles for storing used needles. Abstract: The present invention improves the light usage efficiency of image light. A screen according to one configuration of the present invention includes: a polarized light scattering layer that scatters horizontally-polarized light; a polarizing layer that blocks horizontally-polarized light and transmits vertically-polarized light; and a reflective layer that is disposed between the polarized light scattering layer and the polarizing layer. The reflective layer reflects light in accordance with the wavelength or polarization direction thereof so as to selectively reflect horizontally-polarized image light to be projected onto the screen.

Provided is an image decoding device (31) that generates and decodes a predicted image of a target prediction block, including a view synthesis predictor (3094, 3094?, 3094B, 3094B?) that generates a predicted image using view synthesis prediction.
