  • Patent number: 10482785
Abstract: A Multi-sensor System and Method to Deter Obsessive Compulsive Behavior by generating alerts when a user's hands are held close to their head or face. The system includes a sensor and a triggering device that are both worn by the user. The sensor can be configured to detect when the triggering device closes to within some threshold distance. The system includes at least two magnet-sensing sensors, and is capable of being calibrated in order to eliminate interference due to the Earth's magnetic field. The sensor and triggering device may be contained within common personal items, such as jewelry—including rings, bracelets, hair clips, necklaces and the like. The system and method can generate audible and/or visual alerts whenever one or more triggering devices passes closer to the sensor than the threshold distance. Alerts are in a variety of tones, including simulated cellular telephone ring tones. Data for alert events is downloadable from the sensor device for later review.

  • Patent number: 10035240
Abstract: An Adaptive Dust Shield Device having Zero Standoff Capability for rotary grinders having a bearing housing and an axial groove around the bearing housing. The dust shield has a cover molded from a single shot. The cover has a plurality of upstanding flexible fingers, in multiples of four, which extend upward from the cover. A door is formed in one side of the dust shield cover to allow the user to use the dust shield in zero clearance situations. The flexible fingers have a defined width and are separated apart from each other by a space between each one. The width of the space is less than the defined width of the flexible fingers. A stretchable fitting ring fits onto the bearing housing of the grinder and under the flexible fingers. The flexible fingers are secured onto the stretchable fitting ring by a securing fastener. There are a plurality of vent holes formed in the top wall that are selectively pluggable with plug elements.

  • Patent number: 9821389
Abstract: A Dust Capturing Device for Reciprocating Saws is disclosed. The device is attachable to a convenational shop vacuum cleaner so that virtually all dust created by the reciprocating saw at the cutting blade is captured by the vacuum cleaner. The system is universally attachable to all powered reciprocating saws on the market. A pair of suction hoses are snugly attached to the body of the saw, from intake ports located adjacent to the saw blade to an adapter manifold that combines the two suction hoses into a single hose adaptable to the vacuum cleaner hose. The hoses are attached to the body of the saw by one or more body straps, with each body strap having a pair of hose clips extending therefrom for restraining the two suction hoses running along the body.
