The first connecting block and the second connecting block are coupled together via the hinge. A flexible cable to establish electrical connection between the first and second housings is incorporated in the hinge. Two electrical connectors are associated with the first and second connecting blocks respectively. The electrical connectors are electrically connected with each other via the flexible cable. The connecting unit is movably connected with the first and second housings. The first housing is connected with the first connecting block. The second housing is connected with the second connecting block. The first housing is pivotable about the second housing via the hinge at either of two sides of the foldable mobile telephone.
