Abstract: A battery assembly and an electronic cigarette using the battery assembly are provided. The battery assembly comprises a main body and a rear cover fixedly installed to the main body. One end of the main body is provided with a connecting portion fixedly electrically connected to an external load, and the other end thereof is provided with an inner cavity for accommodating an electronic component. The rear cover is fixedly installed to the main body and covers the inner cavity. One end of the main body far from the connecting portion is provided with an extension toward the rear cover, and the extension covers the end of the rear cover far from the connecting portion, effectively preventing the phenomenon that a housing far from the end of a suction port is damaged by impact when the electronic cigarette is dropped.
