Abstract: A method and a device for processing a menu of an external device, and a TV receiving device are disclosed. By associating a displaying position of a menu of an external device of a display device with interface position information of an external interface, the present disclosure allows the menu of the external device to be displayed at an insertion position of the TV receiving device (i.e., a position corresponding to the external interface) so that the user can clearly know the using conditions of the external interface. This makes the TV receiving device intuitive and convenient to use.

Abstract: A method for customizing an interface in a TV set is provided in the present disclosure. This method comprises the following steps of: step a: setting a TV playing region and a customized function region; step b: storing the customized interface setting parameters into a memory of the TV set; and step c: invoking and displaying the customized interface from the memory depending on the user's settings when the TV set is powered on. By disposing a customized function region, the method for customizing an interface in a TV set according to the present disclosure allows the user who is watching the TV to also acquire other useful information depending on his own needs, and can also satisfy tastes of different users. This enriches functions of the TV set and makes it possible for the user to acquire interested information quickly through the TV set.

Abstract: A browsing method of browsing files of a television includes the following steps: sorting the files in a selected file directory of the television to allow the files to be listed in sequence; and displaying or playing the files sequentially according to the listing sequence, executing a corresponding displaying and playing assembly to display or play the files of a second type when the files of a first type have been displayed or played completely. The browsing method of the present disclosure allows the television to display or play different types of files automatically without any delay and any engagement from the user, which improves the efficiency to browse the files.

Abstract: A displaying method of displaying a downloading progress of a file, including the following steps: downloading and restoring a poster of the file, and processing the poster to allow the poster to display the downloading progress of the other content of the file. With the present disclosure, the downloading progress of the other content of the file is displayed in the poster, and users are able to obtain the downloading progress when watching the poster, which brings a good using experience of products applying the displaying method.

Abstract: A displaying method of information sources of a television, includes the following steps: in a first step, detecting whether signals are respectively inputted to information source inputting interfaces of the television or not; in a second step, executing and displaying reference indicators corresponding to the information source inputting interfaces respectively, for the information source inputting interfaces without the signals being inputted thereto; and generating OSD images corresponding to the peripheral devices connected to the information source inputting interfaces respectively based on the inputted signals, for the information source inputting interfaces with the signals being inputted thereto. With the present disclosure, users can judge which peripheral device the signal is inputted to and which peripheral device is available for being accessed to base on the reference indicators and the OSD image shown in the display of the television, which is convenient and humanized.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a TV set and a method for video messaging thereof. The method includes the following steps: a: acquiring an image and a voice message signal of a video message producer as a video message and storing the video message; b: receiving a control instruction of viewing a video message from a video message viewer and searching from stored video messages for any video message for the video message viewer, wherein if the answer is “yes”, the step c is implemented; and c: invoking the video message for the video message viewer, displaying the image of the video message producer through the TV set, and playing the voice message through a loud speaker. With the present disclosure, users can leave or read a video message when using the TV set. This extends the functions of the TV set and gives users brand new experiences.

Abstract: A menu generating method for a TV set is provided in the present disclosure. The menu generating method includes the following steps of: step a: reading menu item data by a system; and step b: determining a classification to which the menu item belongs, wherein if the menu item belongs to a first classification, then the menu item is longitudinally filled into a menu frame, and if the menu item belongs to a second classification, then the menu item is laterally filled into the menu frame according to a menu of the first classification to which the menu belongs. With the menu generating method for a TV set according to the present disclosure, menus can be displayed automatically according to properties of the menus. This allows the menus to be displayed in a very simple and clear way, which makes it convenient for the user to operate the menus.

Abstract: A TV set and a TV program processing method thereof are provided in the present disclosure. The TV set includes a control code receiving unit for receiving a control code and a TV program multiple-picture displaying unit for displaying TV program multiple-pictures according to the received control code. The TV program processing method includes the following steps: receiving a control code by a TV set, wherein the control code comprises an instruction of displaying current TV programs in a multiple-picture format; and displaying the current TV programs in the multiple-picture format according to the control code received. The TV set and the TV program processing method thereof of the present disclosure allow for displaying three or more TV programs on a same TV screen simultaneously, and also allow for displaying TV programs according to classifications of contents thereof, making it convenient to watch and use the TV set.

Abstract: A channel browsing method of a television includes the following steps: receiving a channel browsing control command, receiving a first television signal of a current channel being played via a main tuner, outputting frequency data of at least one browsing channel needed to be browsed to a vice tuner, receiving at least one second television signal corresponding to the at least one browsing channel via the vice tuner; and processing the first television signal and the at least one second television signal, defining a vice window for playing at least one program of the at least one browsing channel and a main window for playing the program of the current channel. With the channel browsing method of the present disclosure, users can browse the program of each channel when watching the program of the current channel.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a playing progress indicating method for time-shifted television and a TV set, which can calculate a time value indicated by a program time-shifted progress indicia by use of a time scaling unit and provide a very intuitive time progress indicator for a user. Therefore, the playing progress indicating method for time-shifted television and the TV set of the present disclosure are intuitive and convenient to use.

Abstract: A generating method of generating an electronic program guide menu of a television includes the following steps: providing a main tuner for receiving a first television signal of a current channel and providing at least one vice tuner for receiving at least one second television signal of at least one browsing channel; and generating the electronic program guide menu which includes program picture of the current channel and at least one program picture of the at least one browsing channel according to the first television signal and the at least one second television signal. With the present disclosure, the electronic program guide menu which is convenient and of plenty of information is provided to allow viewers to browse the browsing channel as well as allow viewers to watch the program of the current channel at the same time.
