Abstract: An ultrasound elasticity measurement device includes an ultrasound probe. The ultrasound probe includes a vibrator and a transducer. The ultrasound elasticity measurement device further includes a vibration controller, a transmission/receiving controller and a data processor. When simultaneously performing the strain detection and the vibration elasticity detection, the vibration controller generates a vibration control sequence and transmits the same to the vibrator. The ultrasound probe vibrates when driven by the vibrator, and transmits ultrasound waves to the biological tissue and receives the ultrasound echoes, so as to obtain the ultrasound echo data for strain detection and the ultrasound echo data for vibration elasticity detection.
Abstract: The invention provides an automatic stop method and device for a can opener. When a first rotation frequency of a bearing in a first preset time is smaller than a second rotation frequency of the bearing in a subsequent second preset time in the process of opening a can by a can opener blade and a difference between the second and first frequency reaches a preset value, it is determined that repeated cutting occurs, and the blade will be stopped in time to avoid problems caused by repeated cutting. Meanwhile, mean values of multiple data acquired within the first and second preset time are calculated, avoiding the problems of an excessively high and long instant processing burden of one time of data acquisition and errors caused by data acquired once, improving the timeliness and accuracy of the first and second frequency, and can opening can be controlled more accurately.
Abstract: An optical environment oscillation detection system and an optical measurement method using the same are provided. This system includes a laser light source, a polarizer, a liquid crystal (LC) element, an analyzer, and an optical sensor arranged in sequence. A polarization axis of the polarizer and that of the analyzer are respectively parallel to a first and a second axis direction being perpendicular to each other. When there is no environmental disturbance, the alignment of LC cells in the LC element has an original pretilt angle, and the optical sensor senses a first scattered light intensity of the laser beam outputted from the analyzer. When there is environmental disturbance, the alignment of the LC cells has a changed pretilt angle in relative to the original pretilt angle, and the optical sensor senses a second scattered light intensity of the laser beam outputted from the analyzer.
Abstract: Techniques are described for implementing a square-gate source-follower (SGSF) transistor for integration with complementary metal-oxide semiconductor (CMOS) image sensor (CIS) pixels. The SGSF transistor can have an active layer with active regions, including a drain region separated from each of two source regions to form parallel current channels. A square-gate structure layer includes main-gate regions, each disposed above a corresponding one of the current channels, and a side-gate region to couple the main-gate regions. At a particular physical width (W) and current channel length (L), the parallel current channels can act similarly to a conventional linear source-follower having dimensions of 2W and the same L. SGSF implementations can provide a number of features, including higher frame rate, lower power consumption, and lower noise, as compared to those of a conventional source-follower transistor of comparable W and L dimensions.

Abstract: A method of preparing a colorless transparent copolyamide-imide resin solution and its fabrication as a thin film has been disclosed. The method details formulations derived from a reaction between one or more units of dianhydride and one or more units of diamine monomers with one or more of the monomers containing fluorine atoms in their structural unit. It enables the fabrication of thin films with superior thermal and mechanical properties along with co-efficient of thermal expansion values as low as 2 ppm/° C. and a tensile modulus as high as 9 GPa. The transparent copolyamide-imide film thus prepared has the potential for utilization in flexible displays such as substrates for thin film transistors (TFT), touch sensor panels (TSP) and cover window in organic light emitting diode (OLED) and liquid crystal display (LCD) applications.

Abstract: Techniques are described for passive three-dimensional image sensing based on referential image blurring. For example, a filter mask is integrated with a lens assembly to provide one or more normal imaging bandpass (NIB) regions and one or more reference imaging bandpass (RIB) regions, the regions being optically distinguishable and corresponding to different focal lengths and/or different focal paths. As light rays from a scene object pass through the different regions of the filter mask, a sensor can detect first and second images responsive to those light rays focused through the NIB region and the RIB region, respectively (according to their respective focal lengths and/or respective focal paths). An amount of blurring between the images can be measured and correlated to an object distance for the scene object. Some embodiments project additional reference illumination to enhance blurring detection in the form of reference illumination flooding and/or spotted illumination.
