Abstract: A collapsible footrest assembly for a gliding ottoman with a top structure gliding upon a base. A pair of parallel, elongated slides are movably mounted under the top structure between upper and lower positions with respect to the top structure. A footrest is slidably and pivotally mounted between the slides for sliding operation between a slide-in position wherein the footrest extends and is supported between the slides and a slide-out position wherein the footrest is drawn out and pivoted down in front of the slides. The slide arrangement is detachably hooked under the top structure in the upper position, and is detachably locked with the base when it is in the lower position to prevent the ottoman from gliding when the footrest is in use.

Abstract: A locking assembly for a glider rocker having a gliding chair seat mounted on a stationary base. A latch bar is adapted to extend horizontally and transversely with respect to a gliding direction of the chair seat. A mounting assembly is provided for attaching the latch bar to the chair seat, the mounting assembly being operable for selectively lifting and lowering the latch bar with respect to the chair seat. A bracket affixable to the base, has an upper end provided with a downwardly extending catch slot into which the latch bar slideably fits when the latch bar is aligned therewith and lowered by operation of the mounting assembly.

Abstract: The adjustable support assembly is for supporting a component of a piece of furniture, such as a backrest or armrest of a sofa. The component is fixed to the upper end of a shaft. The lower end of the shaft is insertable into an elongated hollow member, fixed to the frame of the sofa with a mounting bracket connected to the hollow member and screwed to the frame. A locking device releasably holds the shaft in any one of a plurality of angular positions with respect to the hollow member when the shaft is substantially engaged in the hollow member. The orientation of the component may therefor be easily adjusted and locked when a person sitting on the sofa so desires.
