Abstract: A method and system for robust social networking enabling a subscriber to anonymously communicate with other anonymous subscribers when the subscriber is located within a specific geographical area with other subscribers. The method and system also restrict the subscriber to only view the data transmitted by other subscribers if the subscriber is not located within the specific geographical area with these other subscribers. That is, if the subscriber is not located within the specific geographical area with other subscribers who transmit the data, the method and system will not permit the subscriber to post the subscriber's own messages in response to the data posted by other subscribers. However, the subscriber can rate the data posted by other subscribers even if the subscriber is outside the specific geographical area.
