Abstract: The present invention provides a sealing device comprising a container and a synthetic resin cap attached to a mouth portion thereof. The synthetic resin cap has a cap main body having a top plate portion and a tubular portion extending downward from the periphery thereof, the tubular portion being partitioned by a tearable weakening line into an upper main portion and a lower tamper-evidence ring portion, a threaded portion being formed on an inner wall surface of the main portion, and erectable engaging projections being provided on an inner wall surface of the tamper-evidence ring portion.

Abstract: A method of manufacturing a container cap with a concealed mark is disclosed. The mark is provided to the central portion of one of both the inside face of the top panel and one side of a seat member made of a thermoplastic material. The seat member is then placed on the inside face of the top panel so that the one side of the seat member faces the inside face of the top panel. The seat member is thereafter heated for softening. The other side of the seat member, heated and placed on the inside face of the top panel, is depressed to form a manually tearable line surrounding the mark in the other side of the seat member, thus defining a gasket portion in the seat member outside the tearable line and a manually removable portion, overlying the mark, inside the tearable line, and to attach a gasket portion to the top panel.

Abstract: A closure cap adapted for fitment to a container having a threaded neck terminating in a rim which defines an open mouth. The closure may be formed of a molding of elastomeric material and includes a top wall having an annular skirt downwardly depending therefrom. The annular skirt has a closure thread formed about its inside surface which cooperates with the threaded neck of the container to achieve the fitment. The closure cap also contains a stepped projection formed generally at the inside juncture of the top wall and the annular skirt. The stepped projection has a vertical surface thereon. A flexible, hollow frusto-conical flange is formed integrally with the inner surface of the top wall and projects downwardly and outwardly therefrom. The flange is sufficiently thin and has sufficient length so as to enable it to bend around the outside radius of the rim.
