Patent number: 5190830Abstract: A shaped or unshaped article of a non-ferrous metal sheet preferably aluminum having an organic, surface coating film containing conductive and/or semiconductive fine particles, preferably molybdenum dissulfide is integrally bonded with a shaped or unshaped article of a steel sheet having or not having an organic, surface coating film; and this integrated body is subjected simultaneously to electrodeposition coating. The non-ferrous metal sheet having an organic, surface coating film containing conductive and/or semiconductive, fine particles shows excellent electrodeposition coating characteristics which can be easily regulated. Hence, integral coating after bounding with a steel sheet gives the same degree of film thickness and surface smoothness on both of the non-ferrous metal and steel sheets. This method is particularly suitable for the coating of automobile bodies integrally composed of non-ferrous metal and steel sheets ensuring energy- and labor-saving and giving final products of uniform finish.Type: GrantFiled: June 27, 1991Date of Patent: March 2, 1993Assignee: Shinto Paint Co., Ltd.Inventors: Katsuhiko Matsuo, Takeshi Kuninori

Patent number: 4797230Abstract: Applicants' invention relates to a method for dissolving a solute material in a container by contacting the solute with a solvent in another container. Applicants' method relies upon the difference in the specific gravities of the solvent and the solute to create a convection current between their respective containers. The material, either the solute or the solvent, having the larger specific gravity is placed above the material having the smaller specific gravity, and the two materials are brought into contact. The solute dissolves in the solvent, and the resulting solution, which has a lower or higher specific gravity than the solvent, causes a convection current which draws the heavier material down and the lighter material up. As the convection current proceeds, the undissolved solute continues to come into contact with fresh solvent accelerating the dissolution process.Type: GrantFiled: May 28, 1986Date of Patent: January 10, 1989Assignee: Shinto Paint Co.
