Abstract: Methods and systems for producing personalized products are provided. The method involves placing a plurality of ingredients in a primary container, heating at least a portion of the primary container to a temperature selected to melt the ingredients, placing the heated primary container into a centrifuge, blending the melted ingredients into a substantially homogeneous mixture by spinning the primary container in the centrifuge, and allowing the substantially homogeneous mixture to cool to form a solid product.

Abstract: Systems and methods herein are developed which enable modification of an initial customized cosmetic product, wherein the initial customized cosmetic product is created based on an initial customized cosmetic product specification or an existing specification of a non-custom product. One such system and method for making a custom cosmetic product from an existing non-custom cosmetic product is configured to be capable of: characterizing a non-custom product with a known key comprised of at least one search component; providing user interaction to modify at least one of the at least one search components in this key to create a modified key; and using the modified key to produce custom product which may include determining manufacturing instructions. Such systems and methods may incorporate a custom or non-custom product attribute data base for providing product attribute data for modification and adjustment of the user search key using an adjustment service.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are compositions that can form a covering, layer, film, device, and/or prosthetic skin that can be comfortably worn to provide skin barrier function, skin hydration and therapeutic and aesthetic benefits. The present invention provides novel compositions that have low tackiness and form quickly, resulting in a wearable, comfortable (maintains temperature and humidity), breathable, thin, optically invisible, cosmetically elegant, flexible, stretchable, elastic and body-movement conforming, yet long-lasting covering, layer, film, device, and/or prosthetic skin on the skin or any other body surface. The present invention provides novel compositions that can form a covering, layer, film, device, and/or prosthetic skin that works for extended periods in excess of about 24 hours, while retaining function during and after exercising, showering and swimming (in sea-water, fresh water and chlorinated water), steam room (heat at high humidity), and sauna (heat at low humidity).

Abstract: A method for image transformation including receiving, from an electronic device, an input image having represented therein an object having a predefined region with a selected characteristic, extracting, from the input image, an isolated image corresponding to the predefined region, inputting the isolated image into a baseline generator, trained by an offline unbalanced neural network, that generates a new image that represents a modification to the predefined region in which the selected characteristic is replaced with a baseline characteristic, and generating an output image that reflects a modification of the input image to include a representation of the new image.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides systems and methods for virtual facial makeup simulation through virtual makeup removal and virtual makeup add-ons, virtual end effects and simulated textures. In one aspect, the present disclosure provides a method for virtually removing facial makeup, the method comprising providing a facial image of a user with makeups being applied thereto, locating facial landmarks from the facial image of the user in one or more regions, decomposing some regions into first channels which are fed to histogram matching to obtain a first image without makeup in that region and transferring other regions into color channels which are fed into histogram matching under different lighting conditions to obtain a second image without makeup in that region, and combining the images to form a resultant image with makeups removed in the facial regions.

Abstract: Systems and methods for determining a customized cosmetic formulation. In one method, a user is guided to capture an image of a skin region with known lighting and color characteristics, and the image is processed to provide calibrated skin color information. A customized cosmetic formulation is automatically determined for the user based on the calibrated skin color information. In another method, a user is interactively guided through capture of one or more skin region images using a device having an image sensor. The skin region images are processed to provide calibrated skin color information, which is compared to a ground truth data set to identify a set of closest known values in the ground truth data set. A customized cosmetic formulation is automatically determined for the user based on the comparison.
