Patents Assigned to Shoo 533 Limited
  • Patent number: 9820198
Abstract: A method, system- or apparatus-adapted to facilitate the recovery and continuation of a data communication active across different wireless technology platforms. The end-users wireless device is adapted and authorized to operate on such different wireless technology platforms managed through a server. Loss of data communication of an adapted wireless device on one wireless-platform is dealt with by allowing reconnection onto a different wireless-platform thereby allowing recovery of the original data communication and a continuation of the same previously originated data call, provided the time between loss of data or loss of coverage and the reconnection to the same or different wireless technology platform by the adapted wireless device is less than the timeout permitted by the adapted wireless device or by the adapted server through which all data communications or data calls are handled through.

  • Patent number: 9591551
Abstract: A wireless device can initiate a network connection without using a network operator's home location register. The wireless device sends data to a server that defines a call request; and the server decides on the appropriate routing over all available networks for that call request. But, unlike a conventional HLR, the server can receive communications from the device using any one of several different protocols, and is not limited to the MAP (mobile application part) protocol. For example, the wireless device can use SMS or HTTP over the internet to communicate with the server. The server then determines the appropriate least cost routing.

  • Patent number: 9532208
Abstract: A wireless device includes a single SIM, plus an application module adapted to enable the device to operate as though it included two or more different SIMs. The module, referred to as a ‘proprietary applications module’ (PAM) is connected to, or built into, a wireless device (WD). The PAM is capable of switching all incoming traffic by associating the WD to one specific subscriber identity sub-module, referred to as “Local SIM” (LS). It can also switch or re-route all outgoing traffic by associating the same WD with a different subscriber identity sub-module, typically a “Roaming SIM” (RS). In a preferred embodiment, the PAM, RS and LS are built-into a single SIM for use in a WD; alternatively the PAM is built-into a WD and the RS and LS are built-into the single SIM.

  • Patent number: 9369575
Abstract: A system for determining dynamically any given registered wireless device VoIP location, whereby the dynamic method reports the VoIP address return path as being the VoIP Location into a database. Applications of the system can access the database to contact each individual, specific, fixed or wireless device by VoIP for any data exchange.

  • Patent number: 8868070
Abstract: A virtual wireless network including a server running a home location register (HLR), the home location register being associated solely with a virtual wireless network operator that does not have any licensed frequency spectrum, but provides wireless services to a subscriber by using the wireless basestations of a wireless network operator that does have licensed frequency spectrum.

  • Publication number: 20140064153
Abstract: A system that enables a calling party to communicate with a called party over a communications network comprises: (a) a web page storage device that is operable to send, over the internet, (i) web pages to a calling party device, the web pages including a data entry screen into which a user enters a required telephone number or VoIP user name with which communication is sought and (ii) a call-in number; (b) a conversion device that is operable to receive over the internet, from the calling party device, the telephone number or VoIP user name and can cause the altering of call forwarding settings at a switch, such that a call from the calling party device to a call-in number will be automatically forwarded to a device associated with the telephone number or VoIP user name; (c) a dynamic line assignment module that can dynamically assign the call-in number.

  • Publication number: 20130259029
Abstract: A proprietary internet converter (PIC) is disclosed, which allows a calling party end-user device with internet access such as a mobile telephone, to initiate voice communication with a called party VoIP (Voice Over Internet protocol) end-user device. The ID (Internet Device with a built-in PIC) converts the protocols used by the calling party end-user device so that the switch that routes calls to the called party VoIP end-user device understands instructions sent from the calling party end-user device. The switch has a call forwarding function. The calling party gives the calling party user name (e.g. ISP user name/contact or VoIP user name/contact) to the PIC over the internet. The PIC then sets call forwarding function on the switch, for that particular calling party, so that an incoming call from the calling party is automatically forwarded to the ISP user or VoIP user defined by the calling party.
