Abstract: A method is provided for picking up an image of an object with a camera mounted via a pan head on a moving pedestal. A reference position on a floor surface on which the moving pedestal moves and a reference angle of the moving pedestal are both set. A moving amount of the moving pedestal from the reference position and a rotation angle thereof from the reference angle are detected, and a position and an angle of the camera with respect to the object is found on the basis of the reference position, the reference angle, the moving amount and the rotation angle of the moving pedestal. Data of the position and the angle of the camera with respect to the object are transmitted to a computer for creating an image containing a real object image of the object taken with the camera.

Abstract: A tiltable device for carrying an object thereon includes a base, first and second rails arranged on the base and inclined such that they are located close to each other at one end and remote from each other at the other end, a first lateral link having opposite ends movably arranged on the first and second rails, respectively, a second lateral link parallel to the first lateral link and serving as a tiltable base for carrying an object thereon, and first and second vertical links parallel to each other and each rotatably connected to the first and second lateral links for holding the first and second lateral links together.

Abstract: An apparatus for loading a television camera or the like having a tilt mechanism for tilting a tilt stand supporting the camera, a pan mechanism for turning the turning stand supporting this tilt mechanism in the horizontal plane, a cam mechanism for adjusting the weight balance of the camera on the tilt stand by the cam and the cam roller. A stop mechanism for holding the tilt stand of the tilt mechanism by a stop pin so that it may not be tilted is provided which has an eccentric shaft portion at the tip portion of the stop pin so that when the pin is inserted into the receiving hole of the side plate and turned, its eccentric action may cause the cam to be lifted from the cam roller along with the tilt stand.

Abstract: An equilibrator for a universal head which is simple in construction, light-weight, and small-sized. The equilibrator includes a cylindrical cam which has an axis extending in a substantially horizontal direction, and is mounted on a base so as to be rotatable about the axis, and having a cam surface formed on an end thereof, in addition to a compression spring which is arranged so as to be substantially coaxial with the cylindrical cam and resiliently engaged with the cam surface of the cylindrical cam. The cam surface has a configuration sufficient to allow the balance between the force transmitted to the cam surface due to the inclination of the universal head and the restoring force of the spring, to be kept at any inclination of the universal head.

Abstract: A pedestal carrying a television camera and its accessories has constant-torque springs which are housed in a detachable housing. The output shaft of each constant-torque spring is made responsive to the weight of the camera and its accessories, and is connected via a reduction mechanism with a mechanism for winding up a line such as wire.
