  • Patent number: 8963855
Abstract: A method for unlocking a mobile device is disclosed. When the mobile device is in the lock mode, the touch panel screen on the mobile device detects a multi-touch action simultaneously performed by users. The users perform the multi-touch action on a plurality of the touch points displayed on the touch panel screen. If the multi-touch action satisfies a predetermined unlock condition of the mobile device, the mobile device switches from a lock mode to an unlock mode. The simultaneous multi-touch action is provided to users for unlocking the mobile device. Thus, the simultaneity of the action is utilized to shortening the operating time of the unlock process.

  • Patent number: 7719863
Abstract: An active start judgment circuit is electrically connected to an AC/DC transforming power supply which has at least one standby power unit to transform AC to DC in regular conditions and a main power unit to transform the AC to the DC in an ON condition for operation of an electronic equipment. The start judgment circuit bridges the standby power unit and the main power unit, and generates a reference potential based on a voltage output from the standby power unit, and gets a power signal from the standby power unit to be compared with the reference potential to output a start signal to the main power unit to transform the AC to the DC. Thus the standby power unit can actively drive the main power unit to supply DC power to activate the electronic equipment.

  • Patent number: 7613006
Abstract: An electronic device installation structure for housing an electronic device which is coupled with a signal transmission dock includes a chassis which has a housing trough to hold the electronic device. The housing trough and the electronic device have respectively a guiding track and a boss that correspond to each other. The guiding track has an inlet and a distal end that jointly define a moving displacement of the boss. The boss can be moved along the guiding track to allow the electronic device to be steadily and fully loaded into the housing trough. The electronic device and the housing trough form an interval between them in the fully loaded condition that is proximate to the thickness of the signal transmission dock so that a secure electric connection is established between the signal transmission dock and the electronic device.

  • Patent number: 7290721
Abstract: A method and apparatus for measuring the temperature of a computer system provides a first temperature sensor, positioned around or on a CPU, for sensing the temperature of the CPU or around the CPU. A first A/D converter is used to convert the temperature sensed by the first temperature sensor into a first temperature value. At least one second temperature sensor, positioned inside the housing, senses the temperature around the housing. At least one second A/D converter converts the temperature sensed by die second temperature sensor into a second temperature value. The first temperature value and second temperature value are input to a control circuit, and a suitable value to output a control signal for controlling the speed of the fan is chosen so as to precede the heat dissipating of the computer system.
