Abstract: A system and method of treating tachycardias and similar syndromes by the use of catheter ablation of tissue is described. A computed tomography (CT)-like image of the heart is obtained and processed to segment the various types of tissue. Papillary muscle areas are identified and displayed differently from the other nearby tissues so that the muscles can be avoided during treatment to avoid or minimize damage to the muscles during ablation treatment. Electrophysical data and scar tissue may also be identified in the image, which may be of the endoscopic type. The position of the catheter may be displayed as a synthetic image on the endoscopic view.

Abstract: In one embodiment of the present invention, a method is disclosed for contacting at least one electric contact surface on a surface of a substrate and/or a surface of a semiconductor chip arranged on a substrate. According to one embodiment of the invention, a film of electrically insulating plastic material is laminated onto the surfaces. A large-area contacting of the contact surfaces, which are freely accessible via the openings in the film, with a layer of electrically conductive material is then carried out. It is the aim of a planar electric contacting method to produce openings in an insulation during a short period of processing time. In particular, openings are to be positioned at a precise position to the contact surfaces. To achieve this, openings are produced in the film of electrically insulating plastic material in the region of the contact surface to be contacted by means of laser cutting and prior to laminating. This method is suitable for all planar contacting processes.

Abstract: A device for detecting signals is disclosed. In at least one embodiment, the device includes at least four detector elements for receiving the signals and converting them into useful signals, each being connected via at least two lines to at least one signal processing unit. Each detector element includes a polarity reversal unit by which polarity reversal of the useful signal of the respective detector element can be performed. The signal polarity reversal logic is unambiguously spatially direction-dependent within the detector array. An advantage of the device of at least one embodiment is that for signals to be received simultaneously by way of two detector elements, the detector elements involved become unambiguously identifiable by the polarity reversal of the useful signal.
Abstract: A method and system for detecting a spatial and temporal location of a contrast injection in a fluoroscopic image sequence is disclosed. Training volumes generated by stacking a sequence of 2D fluoroscopic images in time order are annotated with ground truth contrast injection points. A heart rate is globally estimated for each training volume, and local frequency and phase is estimated in a neighborhood of the ground truth contrast injection point for each training volume. Frequency and phase invariant features are extracted from each training volume based on the heart rate, local frequency and phase, and a detector is trained based on the training volumes and the features extracted for each training volume. The detector can be used to detect the spatial and temporal location of a contrast injection in a fluoroscopic image sequence.

Abstract: A method for analyzing a gas mixture through gas chromatography, wherein a sample of the gas mixture is fed to a dosing volume using a metering valve in a first valve position and, in a second valve position the sample of the gas mixture is fed from the dosing volume through a separating device by a carrier gas. A gas component of interest, arriving at the separating device and separated from the sample, is detected by a detecting device. Part of the separating device and the metering valve are flushed with another carrier gas after the gas component of interest has passed through a part of the separating device to facilitate a precise gas chromatography analysis using minimal technical effort. Another gas sample is then fed from the dosing volume to the separating device using the other carrier gas.
Abstract: A collimator is disclosed for a radiation detector including at least three spacing elements arranged on a radiation exit face of the collimator. In at least one embodiment, they are embodied so as to mount the collimator in a stable manner with respect to a radiation converter of the radiation detector. The at least three spacing elements enable a very precise and stable alignment of the collimator in respect of the radiation converter despite manufacturing-related curves or unevennesses in the radiation exit face and/or the mounting surface on the part of the radiation converter. At least one embodiment of the invention also relates to a manufacturing method for such a collimator, as well as a method for manufacturing a radiation detector.

Abstract: A device connects a table for groups of seats arranged transversely with respect to the direction of travel to the side wall of a vehicle with an upright supporting structure disposed below the table top in the vicinity of the side wall and the lower end is fastened to the side wall and the upper end is fastened to the table top. The supporting structure for the table top is stable and reduces the risk of injury to passengers during collisions without any loss in comfort. The supporting structure has two flexurally rigid posts arranged upright at a distance from each other in the longitudinal direction and have buckling points spaced apart from one another in the longitudinal direction of the posts and have defined buckling axes which, when a force acting on the table is exceeded, permit an elastic yielding of the table in the direction of the force.
Abstract: The invention relates to a clutch device for connecting a driving machine part to a driven machine part, which clutch device comprises an elastomeric clutch which is arranged on a first drive-side or output-side end section of the clutch device. A tooth clutch is arranged on a second output-side or drive-side end section of the clutch device. Moreover, an intermediate shaft which connects the elastomeric clutch to the tooth clutch is provided. Moreover, the tooth clutch and the elastomeric clutch have restoring forces which are adapted to one another in such a way that, in the case of a radial displacement, the clutch device has both central running and axial offset compensation.
