Patent number: 9414684Abstract: Disclosed is a tilting type chair. The chair includes: a seat on which a user is seated; a back support configured to support a back portion of the user seated on the seat; and a tilting section interposed between the back support and the seat to couple the seat to the back support. When the user applies a load to bend the back support backward, the tilting section moves the seat upward in proportion to the load applied by the user, and when the load applied to the back support by the user is removed, the tilting section moves the seat downward in proportion to the removed load. As a result, a more comfortable seating feeling may be provided to the user seated on the seat of the chair. In addition, the tilting may be limited as needed by the user. Thus, the chair may further improve the user's convenience.Type: GrantFiled: October 6, 2014Date of Patent: August 16, 2016Assignee: SIDIZ, INC.Inventors: Jong Pyo Park, Young Soo Shim, Dae Jin Baik

Patent number: 8544955Abstract: The present invention relates to a tillable chair. Specifically, the present invention relates to a tilting chair that enables tilting by combining the left plate body (110) and back plate body (120) with a tilt (130), wherein said back plate body (120) comprises a back plate backbone (122) and a back plate (124) that is combined with a moving means (150) to allow movement in up and down directions with respect to said back plate backbone (122), the front part of said left plate body (110) is combined with one side of said tilt (130), said back plate backbone (122) is combined with another side of said tilt (130), and the rear part of said left plate body (110) is combined with said back plate body (120). According to such configuration, slippage between the human body and back plate does not take place upon tilting so that the comfort level of a user may be enhanced, and a spinal cord may be effectively protected by maintaining a state of lordosis.Type: GrantFiled: October 9, 2009Date of Patent: October 1, 2013Assignee: Sidiz, Inc.Inventor: Joonyeob Kim

Patent number: 8528973Abstract: An adjusting mechanism is used to adjust a restoring force that acts on a backrest of a chair. The adjusting mechanism has a spring element for creating the restoring force, a support, and a backrest support that is pivotably mounted about a support axis on the support. An adjusting element configured as a pair of scissors containing a first scissor arm and a second scissor arm is provided, and the scissor arms are rotatably connected to each other about a scissor axis. The first scissor arm is pivotably mounted on the backrest support about an adjusting axis. A spring force produced by the spring element acts on the second scissor arm. A first actuating lever length is defined between the support axis and the scissor axis. The lever length is changeable using an adjusting element for adjusting the restoring force by pivoting the adjusting element about the adjusting axis.Type: GrantFiled: October 15, 2012Date of Patent: September 10, 2013Assignee: Sidiz, Inc.Inventors: Armin Sander, Christopher Schmidt
