  • Patent number: 5935438
Abstract: A pusher centrifuge has a housing and a centrifuge drum arranged in the housing. A pusher bottom is arranged in the centrifuge drum. A filler pipe is connected to the housing and extends concentrically into the centrifuge drum. Material to be centrifuged is introduced into the centrifuge drum through the filler pipe in a direction of filling. A distribution cone is positioned downstream of the filler pipe in the centrifuge drum. The distribution cone has a wide end and a narrow end. The wide end is positioned facing the pusher bottom and spaced from the pusher bottom by an annular gap. An annular cup is arranged at the pusher bottom and projects concentrically from the pusher bottom into the centrifuge drum. It surrounds the wide end of the distribution cone.

  • Patent number: 4911274
Abstract: A safety coupling having a first drive/output element that is coupled with a second drive/output element via two disengageable coupling elements in the form of two-armed levers that are pivotably disposed on the second drive/output element. First lever arms of these levers are counterstops that in an engaged state of the coupling are disposed in the path of movement of stops that are disposed on the first drive/output element. Second lever arms are supported against a support plate that is shiftable against the force of a compression spring. When an unacceptably high torque occurs, the levers, as a result of forces acting upon the first lever arms, are first pivoted against the compression spring and shift the support plate. After a prescribed pivot angle has been exceeded, the second lever arms, under the effect of the compression spring, pivot further into an end position in which the first lever arms are disposed completely beyond the path of movement of the stops; the coupling is disengaged.

  • Patent number: 4269703
Abstract: A screening machine in which screens or portions of screens of elastic material and having substantially the shape of conical frustums are arranged one below the other. The circular edges of the screens are supported by holders which are mounted to a rotating shaft by means of bearings. The bearings of alternate holders being mounted on eccentric crank pins to drive such holders, without their rotating, in a substantially circular horizontal oscillatory motion to impart to each screen a rapid vibratory motion in which every section thereof participates. The vibratory motion results from a portion moving into and out of tension in conjunction with the rotation of eccentric crank pins.
