  • Patent number: 8971603
Abstract: A method for functional visualization and localization of an arteriovenous malformation is proposed. A patient is scanned over a predetermined projection angle range during a contrast agent uptake time. The examination region is reconstructed using the projections over the entire projection angle range. The arteriovenous malformation is localized. The multiplicity of the projections is subdivided into at least three partial projection datasets each belonging to different consecutive time windows of the total duration of the scan. A time series having tomosynthesis image datasets is generated by the partial projection datasets. An arterial and/or venous assignment of the vessels flooded with contrast agent takes place based on the time series of tomosynthesis image datasets.

  • Patent number: 7887490
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and a device for removing respiratory artefacts in invasive blood pressure measurements. The level of CO2 in the expired air is monitored during blood pressure measurement and used to approximate and remove the respiratory artifacts. In one embodiment, the respiratory frequency from the respiratory signal is extracted by identifying the end-tidal CO2 level for each breath. A model is derived for the respiratory artifacts using the respiratory frequency, and the model is subtracted from the measured blood pressure data.

  • Patent number: 7869194
Abstract: At least one embodiment of the invention provides that, for a closing apparatus for a part rack withdrawable via V-shaped rod assemblies, the closing apparatus includes at least one pin formed on rod assemblies or as part of them, each pin engaging in a slot in an actuating element. Owing to the use of the slots, the actuating element can be formed as a rigid body, with the result that no frictional forces need to be overcome when inserting a circuit breaker into a withdrawable-part rack with the closing apparatus according to at least one embodiment of the invention. With the closing apparatus according to at least one embodiment of the invention, a locking element can have a particularly simple design: it can be guided in the actuating element.

  • Patent number: 7583784
Abstract: A method is for calculating computed tomography pictures from detector data of a CT that uses at least two radiation sources that generate different conical beams. A spatial distribution of attenuation values of a scanned object is reconstructed with the aid of detector data of a first relatively large conical beam. The integral attenuation values that are required to supplement the relatively small conical beam are back calculated from the previously reconstructed data. Finally, a reconstruction of computed tomography pictures is subsequently carried out with the aid of the back calculated integral attenuation data and the measured integral attenuation data of the relatively small conical beam.

  • Patent number: 6667979
Abstract: For processing ATM cells in bidirectional, upstream and downstream data streams in an ATM module, whereby the processing speed is higher than the average cell rate and empty cycles without ATM cells occur in the cell stream, a processing logic of the module—for the purpose of an alternating processing of upstream or downstream cells—makes requests upstream and downstream for empty cycles to an empty cycle controller in order to receive processing time. The cells of the downstream data stream can be separately backed up and released in a buffer and, in this way, downstream empty cycles can be generated. Given a downstream empty cycle request, this request is allowed with priority over a simultaneous downstream request when an empty cycle occurs, and, given a downstream empty cycle request, an empty cycle is released delayed by one cycle length if an upstream request is simultaneously present but is otherwise immediately released.

  • Patent number: 6355954
Abstract: A method for fabricating a bit line junction in a DRAM array device which improves the doping profile in the channel region. The method includes contradoping via ion implantation through the bit line contact opening made in the device during processing. This particular doping method increases the concentration of dopants in the channel region on the bit line side of the array, without a corresponding increase of dopants on the buried strap side. Such a doping profile results in an improvement in the off current behavior of the device. Depending on the aspect ratio of the contact opening, tilt angles for the ion implantation are possible and can be adjusted for maximum off current efficiency.
