  • Patent number: 11338331
Abstract: A sorting installation sorts objects and contains a sorter for conveying objects and also an end station facility accepting objects. The sorter is configured to bring at least a few of the objects conveyed on the sorter in an object introduction direction, which is different from a local direction of object conveyance of the sorter in an area of the sorter adjoining the end station facility, into the end station facility. In order to make possible a fine distribution of the objects that is favorable in terms of the effort involved, the end station facility has a first object store, a second object store and also a transport facility. The transport facility is configured to transport the objects brought by the sorter into the end station facility optionally along a first transport path to the first object store or along a second transport path to the second object store.

  • Patent number: 7327815
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for synchronizing a plurality of digital input signals which are formed by sampling with the aid of a dedicated operating clock in each case. In order to be able to carry out such a method reliably with a relatively low outlay, according to the invention digital auxiliary signals (xd(nk+j), (yd(nk+j)) are formed by sampling the digital input signals (x(k)) with the aid of a common postprocessing clock, use being made of a postprocessing clock which is at least twice as fast as the fastest operating clock; synchronized digital output signals (x(m), y(m)) which correspond to the digital input signals (x(k)) are formed by means of interpolating each digital auxiliary signal (xd(nk+j), yd(nk+j)).

  • Patent number: 6463914
Abstract: The regulating member according to the present invention is arranged in a pressure line in a fuel injector with a pressure intensifier and has an actuator, a valve chamber and a spring-loaded valve piston arranged moveably in the valve chamber. The valve piston, in its position of rest, makes a flow connection through the valve chamber between a pressure supply and a control space of the pressure intensifier and, in its switching position, the valve piston makes a flow connection through the valve chamber in which the control space in the pressure intensifier is relieved of pressure.

  • Patent number: 6462462
Abstract: A product comprised of a non-linear piezoelectric materia, in which a plurality of reference points are defined. The product is exposed to a distribution of an electrical field and is characterized by a distribution of characteristic linear moduli over the reference points, whereby each modulus is determined as an increase in a secant reaching, in an associated characteristic curve, from a zero point up to a point corresponding to the reference point. The characteristic curve is projected from a system of characteristic curves that describes relations between the electrical field and loadings characteristic of additional state quantities in the material. In addition, the invention relates to a method for determining a corresponding distribution of characteristic moduli in a corresponding product.

  • Patent number: 6422766
Abstract: A housing configuration for a laser module includes a hermetically sealed module housing, which contains the laser module and has at least one laser-light-transparent exit wall portion. A carrier plate, which either forms the base of the module housing or carries a housing base of the module housing, and a device for coupling a wave guide to the housing are also provided. The carrier plate includes an RF conductor track carrier formed of a dielectric material. For the electrical RF contacting of the laser module, an RF conductor track section, which is guided on the RF conductor track carrier, is provided.

  • Patent number: 6366868
Abstract: A method of diagnosing an actuator includes supplying a predeterminable amount of energy to an actuator through a charge-reversal circuit. Faulty functional statuses of the actuator and its supply lines and/or its drive circuits, short- or long-term interruptions, short-circuits within the actuator or its supply lines, or excessively low capacitance values may be deduced from a discrepancy between reference values and determined variables including actuator voltage, actuator current, and actuator charge. A short-circuit of an electrical connection within the actuator or an electrical connection between the drive circuit and the actuator can be deduced if the actuator voltage is less than a lower voltage value. An interruption in the electrical connection within is the actuator or an electrical connection between the drive circuit and the actuator may be deduced if an actuator peak current is less than a lower current value. An apparatus for performing the method is also provided.

  • Patent number: 6308668
Abstract: A method for starting an electromechanical regulating device especially designed for controlling the charge cycle in an internal combustion engine. The electromechanical regulating device has an actuating element and an actuating drive. The actuating drive includes a first electromagnet with a first coil and a second electromagnet with a second coil, an armature which can move between contact faces of the first and second electromagnets, and at least one restoring means which is mechanically coupled to the armature. To start the regulating device, the second coil is energized until a first predefined condition is fulfilled and then the first coil is energized from the time at which a second condition is fulfilled until the armature comes into contact with the contact face.

  • Patent number: 6308291
Abstract: A method for testing an electronic circuit is described, in which the actual state of circuit components which have previously been activated on a test basis after an initial initialization is compared with a setpoint state. Of the circuit components to be tested, essentially only those circuit components are operated simultaneously which, under the given circumstances, can be expected to interact in the context.

  • Patent number: 6304807
Abstract: A method for determining the yaw velocity of a vehicle is used, in particular, for adaptive driving-speed control. The yaw velocity is calculated from measurements of wheel speed determined by wheel-speed sensors on a right and on a left non-driven wheel by introducing a correction term with a correction factor with which differing tire wear as well as different tire pressure and other interfering parameters can be eliminated.

  • Patent number: 5648823
Abstract: A circuit configuration for intermediate frequency demodulation for a video signal processing device includes an intermediate frequency filter to which an input signal converted to an intermediate frequency is delivered, and a mixer for demodulation with a simulated video carrier. In a further branch, the video carrier is eliminated from the input signal by a bandpass and converted in an oscillator into reference signals being mutually phase offset by 90.degree.. A phase tracker ensures that the phase and frequency of the simulated video carrier are correct relative to the signal to be demodulated. The phase tracker contains in each of two branches a mixer and a low pass, through which a component separation of the video signal to be demodulated is carried out. The reference signals are weighted in further mixers with determined equisignal components and combined into the simulated video carrier.
