Abstract: An automation system comprises a local threat information server operating within automation plant and a plurality of field devices operating at a control layer of the automation plant. The local threat information server is configured to: receive threat information from one or more external sources, receive plant information from one or more internal sources, set a threat level according to one or more of the threat information and the plant information, and distribute an indication of the threat level to one or more control layer devices. Each respective field device is configured to: receive the indication of the threat level, identify one or more security operations corresponding to the threat level, and execute the one or more security operations.

Abstract: A trigger element includes an actuating member of a pressure trigger for an electric switch. The pressure trigger is provided with at least one flow channel per electric pole. The at least one pole of the electric switch includes at least two switch contacts for making or breaking a current path. The switch contacts of the at least one pole of the electric switch is disconnectable via the actuating member, which can respond to a pressure that is generated by an electric arc drawn during electrodynamic recoil of the switch contacts in a separation zone of the two switch contacts. The separation zone is connectable to the actuating member via the flow channel such that the actuating member is guided from a housing of the trigger element between a neutral position and a trigger position. After the trigger position has been reached, a relief of pressure vents the pressure trigger.

Abstract: A differential protection method allows monitoring a three-phase transformer. Current measured values are recorded for each phase on all sides of the transformer, a phase-related formation of difference values is carried out using the current measured values from a reference side and amplitude-adjusted and phase-angle-adjusted current measured values from all other sides. An internal error is detected if a difference value exceeds a threshold value. In order to form the amplitude-adjusted and phase-angle-adjusted current measured values, the current measured values recorded for all phases are initially subjected to an amplitude adjustment and then to a phase angle adjustment. In order to allow the phase angle shift to be freely adjusted, a defined matrix equation with a defined matrix coefficient is used for the phase angle adjustment of the current measured values from the particular other side of the transformer. There is also described a differential protection device.
Abstract: A control device for controlling a power semiconductor component which includes at least two voltage-controlled power semiconductor devices which are electrically connected in parallel and which have each a control connection is disclosed. The control device includes a driver element which can be used to set electrical voltages at the control connections of the power semiconductor devices. The control device includes a measuring unit configured to capture electrical currents which flow through the power semiconductor devices. The driver element is configured to set a level and/or a temporal profile of the electrical voltages on the basis of the electrical currents.

Abstract: A system for implementing automation functions through abstraction layers includes a control application and an automation equipment abstraction framework executable in a runtime environment. The control application is designed to communicate with automation equipment using one or more automation functions. Each automation function comprises one or more equipment-agnostic instructions. During execution of the control application, the automation equipment abstraction framework receives an equipment-agnostic instructions and an indication of a particular unit of automation equipment. The automation equipment abstraction framework translates the equipment-agnostic instructions into equipment-specific automation instructions executable on the particular unit of automation equipment. These equipment-specific automation instructions may then be sent to the particular unit of automation equipment.

Abstract: Embodiments of the application relate to the field of traffic, more particularly to a method, apparatus and system for indicating a traffic signal. An embodiment is directed to a traffic signal indicating method effective on a pedestrian and/or vehicle. A traffic signal indicating system of an embodiment includes a traffic signal indicating apparatus, configured to acquire a traffic control state of a traffic management area; and a projection apparatus, configured to project first visual information for indicating the traffic control state to a first-segment pavement of the traffic management area. By projecting visual information for indicating a current traffic control state to a pavement of a traffic management area, a purpose of reminding a pedestrian and a vehicle is achieved. The projected visual information may transfer rich information. Further, it is unnecessary to modify existing traffic lights.
Abstract: An apparatus for using a certificate on a device is proposed, including a processing unit for generating a certificate request and a transmitter-receiver unit for transmitting the generated certificate request to a first external computing unit, which is configured to generate a certificate for the device and to allow a second external computing unit to re-sign the certificate with an additional manufacturer's signature, and for receiving the re-signed certificate from the external computing unit. The processing unit is further configured to check the manufacturer's signature based on information stored in the device and to use the certificate depending on a result of the check. Furthermore, a system and a corresponding method are proposed.
