Abstract: A drive includes a dynamoelectric rotational machine, an electronic add-on part, and a fan unit arranged axially behind one another. The fan unit generates a cooling air flow and is embodied as a two-zone fan having axial fan elements which define a first zone to generate essentially an axial air flow and include an articulated joint with an elastic region with sufficient restoring force, and radial fan blades which define a second zone that radially adjoins the first zone and generate essentially a radial air flow. Free spaces are provided at least between a housing arrangement and the fan unit and/or between the housing arrangement and a bearing shield of the dynamoelectric rotational machine and/or between the housing arrangement and/or a shaft of the dynamoelectric rotational machine, with the free spaces being acted upon during operation of the fan unit by the cooling air flow and a Venturi effect.

  • Patent number: 10886194
Abstract: Embodiments disclose a radiator component and a heat dissipation system for a power semiconductor device. The radiator component for a power semiconductor device includes a heat dissipation body including an inner-ring substrate, an outer-ring substrate, and a plurality of heat sinks. In an embodiment, the outer-ring substrate surrounds the inner-ring substrate and the plurality of heat sinks are arranged between the inner-ring substrate and the outer-ring substrate. One or more first power semiconductor device arrangement positions are provided on an inner circumferential surface of the inner-ring substrate and one or more second power semiconductor device arrangement positions are arranged on an outer circumferential surface of the outer-ring substrate. The radiator component further includes a fan component. The embodiments can save on space, reduce costs, improve the heat dissipation efficiency, and avoid the problem of disturbances between a plurality of fans.

  • Patent number: 10359773
Abstract: Techniques of safety assurance using fault trees for identifying dormant system failure states are provided. Both operational failure events, as well as diagnostic failure events are included in a fault tree and the operational failure events are then correlated with the diagnostic failure events, which enables an identification of the dormant system failure states. A component fault tree can be used.

  • Publication number: 20170331279
Abstract: A differential protection method for generating a fault signal includes measuring current measurements at least at two different measuring points of a multiphase transformer for each phase. The current measurements for each phase are used to form differential current values and stabilization values. The fault signal is generated if it is determined during a trigger region check that a measurement pair of at least one of the phases, being formed by using one of the differential current values and the associated stabilization value in each case, is in a predefined trigger region. In order to be able to selectively and reliably distinguish an external fault from an internal fault, the transformer has a grounded star point and a zero system current flowing through the star point is used to form the stabilization values. A corresponding differential protection device is provided for performing the differential protection method.

  • Patent number: 9768595
Abstract: A method for producing sub-assemblies such as wiring harnesses/cable ducts includes multiple work steps that are carried out in a common work area. The production process is simplified and sources of error are avoided as far as possible, in that the work steps are displayed optically in the work area.

  • Patent number: 9030666
Abstract: A non-dispersive gas analyzer comprising a light source, having light that shines through a measuring cuvette containing a measuring gas to be analyzed onto a non selective detector having a downstream evaluation unit, wherein a multi-component gas analysis is made possible using in a simple manner in that the light source is a flash discharge lamp and the evaluation unit is configured to evaluate the temporal pulse curves of the flash shining onto the detector such that it is possible to take advantage of the property of flash discharge lamps in that the emitted wavelength components vary over the duration of the flash.

  • Publication number: 20130127284
Abstract: An aircraft includes a propeller and an electric motor which is constructed in the form of a drive for the propeller. The electric motor includes at least two air gaps that can be used for cooling. The air gaps define an axis of symmetry which corresponds to an axis of rotation of the propeller.

  • Patent number: 8120888
Abstract: A device for grounding electrical components arranged in a chain has a grounding point at ground potential and an actuation device connected to the grounding point for connecting the electrical components to the grounding point. In order to provide such a device, with which a simple, safe, and durable grounding is obtained, the actuation device is constructed as a moving part extending in a longitudinal direction and movable in a longitudinal direction. The moving part has an electrically conducting grounding section connected to the grounding point and an electrically nonconducting insulating section arranged on the end of the moving part facing away from the grounding point.
