  • Patent number: 11945657
Abstract: A system and a method for condition monitoring during the operation of a conveyor system, in particular an airport baggage conveyor system, includes conveyor units and a background system. A conveyor unit includes an individual conveyor line and/or a group of conveyor lines. It is possible to record an individual current characteristic of an individual conveyor unit. Each individual conveyor unit has a defined current characteristic during fault-free operation and the background system is configured to record the defined current characteristic and the actual current characteristic of the conveyor unit. The background system is configured to analyze the actual current characteristic of the conveyor unit and to signal, on the basis of the analysis, an impending wear and/or a malfunction of the conveyor system, in particular of a conveyor line of the conveyor unit.

  • Patent number: 11865586
Abstract: Pieces of luggage are sorted which each carries an identification element with a set of information in the form of plaintext. In order to sort pieces of luggage efficiently, at least a portion of the set of information on the identification element is detected automatically and recognized automatically. During an examination, it is automatically verified whether the recognized portion of the set of information matches at least one set of data stored in a database.

  • Patent number: 11866275
Abstract: A method unloads bulk goods from a laterally open large container using an unloading device with a tilting unit and a platform. The tilting unit and the platform have a common rotational axis. Both the bulk goods and the unloading device are prevented from being damaged. The laterally open large container which is filled with a bulk good is positioned on the tilting unit. The platform is flipped up such that the platform closes the opening side of the large container. The tilting unit is tilted together with the large container located thereon and the platform closing the opening side of the large container about the common rotational axis such that the large container is positioned on the container opening side, and the bulk good is deposited on the platform. The tilting unit is then tilted back together with the large container, the bulk good remaining on the platform.

  • Patent number: 11740640
Abstract: A higher throughput is an increasingly necessary requirement for driverless transport systems with a plurality of driverless transport vehicles. In arrangements with inclined roadways, resuming a movement is problematic in that doing so has hitherto only been possible with a limited arrangement of the roadways and/or with highly dimensioned drives. The novel method provides for moving a driverless transport vehicle on an inclined transport roadway, wherein the steering drives are actuated on the basis of the detected inclination direction in order to move the vehicle such that the transport vehicle is moved transversely to the inclination direction. After a specified minimum speed of the transport vehicle transversely to the inclination direction is reached, the steering drives are adjusted such that the transport vehicle continues to move in the inclination direction.
