    Abstract: In a method for searching for signals among interference signals in a multi-channel radio receiver, at least two different data signals are transmitted on at least one physical channel of a radio system to a common receiver. The search for a signal is initiated on any channel, starting with a sequential search of a useful signal by measuring the current signal strength in the form of the RSSI value; a search is made for a signal criterion of the signal and when said criterion has been identified, the measured RSSI value is compared with a predefined RSSI threshold value; if the RSSI threshold value is exceeded, the search for a signal is switched to a search for a data frame and if a data frame is found, the useful data is read; if no signal criterion is identified, if the RSSI threshold value is not exceeded and if no data frame is found, the procedure is interrupted and a new search operation is initiated once a new RSSI threshold value has been defined.

    Abstract: A device for differentiating between a person sitting on the seat surface of a vehicle seat and an object includes at least one largely flat bearing surface that is arranged over a large part of the seat surface including a central region. The novel device includes a vehicle seat, a cushion with weight sensors that are distributed over the seat surface of the vehicle seat in a plane manner, and an evaluation unit to which the signals of the weight sensors are supplied. A central region of the seat surface is curved in a concave manner in the direction of the bottom of the vehicle, in such a way that a first weight sensor arranged therein is closer to the bottom of the vehicle than a plurality of second weight sensors arranged in the region of the seat surface covered by the object, outside the central region. The capacity to differentiate between a person and an object is especially useful when the object is a child seat. In this case, the triggering of a passenger retaining means must be prevented.

A control device for controls access to a vehicle and has a voltage source, a voltage supply terminal to which a supply voltage can be applied, and a holding circuit to which the voltage source and the voltage supply terminal are connected in a common circuit point for the purpose of holding an On state for as long as the voltage at the voltage source does not fall below a predetermined value. A switching element that is connected into the circuit between the voltage supply terminal and the common circuit point serves to separate the common circuit point from the supply voltage. The holding time is thus decoupled from the VCC currents drawn by other loads.
