  • Patent number: 7159800
Abstract: Metering components of a fuel injector that allow spray targeting and distribution of fuel to be configured using non-angled or straight orifice having an axis parallel to a longitudinal axis of the fuel metering components. Metering orifices are located about the longitudinal axis and defining a first virtual circle greater than a second virtual or bolt circle defined by a projection of the sealing surface onto the metering disc so that all of the metering orifices are disposed outside the second virtual or bolt circle within one quadrant of the circle. A channel is formed between the seat orifice and the metering disc that allows the fuel injector to generate a spray pattern along the longitudinal axis that forms a flow area on a virtual plane transverse to the longitudinal axis.

  • Publication number: 20060279411
Abstract: A receiver is utilized to receive signals from various systems within a vehicle such as tire pressure monitoring system (TPM) and a remote keyless entry system (RKE). During the on time, the receiver sequentially is open to receive a first signal with a first baud rate. If the signal of the first baud rate is not received, the receiver receives a second signal at a second baud rate. Upon receipt of a transmission, the receiver operates according to a mode that corresponds to the transmission indicated by the specific baud rate. The operation of the receiver can include specialized filtering, or other known signal processing that is tailored to the specific transmission data communication requirements.

  • Publication number: 20060275163
Abstract: A fuel pump motor system 10 for providing fuel to an engine includes a pump motor assembly 12 having a rotor 16 for generating a rotor magnetic field; a shaft 21 mounted with respect to the rotor such that rotation of the rotor rotates the shaft, an impeller 20 mounted to the shaft, and a stator 18 for generating a stator magnetic field. The stator is associated with the rotor such that interaction of the rotor magnetic field and the stator magnetic field causes the rotor and thus the shaft and impeller to rotate thereby moving fuel from an inlet 24 to an outlet 26 of the pump motor assembly. A filter structure 14 is integral with the pump motor assembly and shares a substantially sealed, non-porous barrier 25 therewith. The filter structure includes filtration media 28 constructed and arranged to filter fuel received from the outlet of the pump motor assembly prior to delivery to an engine.

  • Publication number: 20060267744
Abstract: An example receiver/transmitter for a passive start and entry system switches between amplitude shift keyed modulation and frequency shift keyed modulation to maintain clear uninterrupted and dependable communication with a remote transmitter in the presence of interfering signals. The receiver/transmitter is switched to receive incoming FSK signals in response to the RSSI becoming saturated by undesired signals. The switch to FSK signal modulation occurs by signaling the remote transmitter to change over and begin sending FSK modulated signals. The FSK modulated signals are then received without significant interference.
