  • Patent number: 7331192
Abstract: The invention relates to an insulated container (11) which can be evacuated and has an application (12) to be cooled, in which insulated container (11) a vacuum can be built up by means of a vacuum pump (22). In order to allow the vacuum pump (22) to be switched off during normal operation, a getter material (26) is arranged in the insulated container and binds gas components which penetrate into the insulated container as a result of unavoidable leakages. The invention provides for the getter material to be accommodated in maintenance areas (20), which can be disconnected by means of valves (21) from the working area (18) which contains the application (12). This allows the getter materials (26) in each maintenance area to be replaced or regenerated, while the operation of the application (12) to be cooled can be maintained owing to the partitioning of the working area (18) from the maintenance area (20).

  • Patent number: 7333932
Abstract: A method, an arrangement and a computer program synthesize speech by grapheme/phoneme conversion. In this case, a search is made for subwords of a given word in a database which contains phonetic transcriptions of words. If at least one subword of the given word is found in the database, a phonetic transcription registered in the database is selected for the subword found. In addition to the subword found, the given word has at least one further constituent, which is not registered in the database. This further constituent is phonetically transcribed with the aid of an OOV treatment, and the phonetic transcription of the subword found and the phonetic transcription of the further constituent are combined.

  • Patent number: 7333775
Abstract: A method detects which radio communication terminals use interference suppression procedures, in a radio communication system. Here radio communication terminals periodically return measurement signals which represent radio field characteristics and/or reception situations determined at the radio terminal to a base station and compare these signals with one another and also with threshold values determined on the base station side. The comparisons conducted are used for assigning radio communication terminals to groups, with a first group being assigned those radio communication terminals which display a good reception situation during the threshold value comparison, whereas a second group is assigned all further radio communication terminals.

  • Patent number: 7331214
Abstract: The invention relates to a waste gas probe which is disposed in an internal combustion engine, comprising a plurality of cylinders and injection valves associated with the cylinders, in order to measure fuel. The waste gas probe is arranged in a waste gas tract and the measuring signal thereof is characteristic for the air/fuel ratio in the respective cylinder. The measuring signal is detected in relation to a reference position of the piston of the respective cylinder at a predefined crankshaft angle and associated with a respective cylinder. A manipulated variable which is used to influence the air/fuel ration in the respective cylinder according to the measuring signal detected for the respective cylinder is produced by a controller. The predefined crankshaft angle is adapted according to an instability criterion of the controller.

  • Publication number: 20080037708
Abstract: A method and system are providing for performing X-ray diagnostic imaging using a camera image controlled to image a field of view (FOV) that is substantially coincident and coplanar with a radiation footprint or FOV of an X-ray beam radiated towards a patient under examination. Both the X-ray beam and camera FOVs are shaped and/or limited by collimation. The method and system include acquiring a camera image with a collimated FOV to an X-ray beam FOV before X-ray imaging a patient, displaying the camera image and adjusting the collimation and patient positioning to define the X-ray beam FOV based on the displayed camera image before X-ray imaging the patient. After adjustment, the method and system include radiating the X-ray beam as collimated during the patient X-ray imaging, acquiring and processing captured X-ray image information to reconstruct an X-ray image and displaying the reconstructed X-ray image with the displayed camera image.

  • Publication number: 20080037844
Abstract: Disclosed are method and apparatus for motion correction of Digital Subtracted Angiography (DSA) images. Prior to display of DSA image frames, a pixel shift vector is calculated for each fill frame. For a fill frame in which a pixel shift vector cannot be directly calculated, an approximate pixel shift vector is interpolated between, or extrapolated from, other pixel shift vectors. A mask frame is shifted by a pixel shift vector. The resulting shifted mask frame is subtracted from the corresponding fill frame to generate a motion-corrected subtracted frame, which is then displayed on a video display. Motion correction is performed prior to diagnostic review.
