Abstract: A system and method provide for more accurate SPECT/CT image registration. CT data is utilized to establish a global spatial coordinate system of a common test phantom. The common test phantom is then used to obtain a set of point source nuclear images. Three-dimensional CT point source data is mapped to a two-dimensional image plane of corresponding point source data, to obtain a pair of intersecting projection cones that are used to obtain a set of detector head position correction parameters to correct detector head positioning in the CT coordinate system when obtaining SPECT projection images of the same object.
Abstract: A system and method for synchronously processing ear shells for hearing aids comprising: loading data associated with a first and second ear shell; determining whether to perform a rigid or non-rigid registration of the data associated with the first and second ear shells, wherein the rigid registration is performed when shapes of the first and second ear shells are within a predetermined threshold, and the non-rigid registration is performed when the shapes of the first and second ear shells are not within the predetermined threshold; registering the data associated with the first and second ear shells; processing the first and second ear shells, wherein the processing is synchronously performed; and outputting the processed first and second ear shells to a display device.

Abstract: A device for reversal of direction of planar letters has two cover band conveyor runs with reversible transport direction, driven by a common drive roller. The letters are distributed alternately on the cover band conveyor runs. The back-transported letters are led into removing cover band transport means. The drive roller is controlled such that on introduction of a following letter into a cover band conveyor run the preceding back-transported letter has already accelerated to the nominal speed, the braking process only being initiated when the rear edge of the relevant letter has left the introducing cover band transport run and the preceding letter is no longer held in one of the controlled and reversible cover band conveyor runs.
Abstract: A pointer instrument has two instrument mechanisms arranged independently of one another on a printed circuit board such that the printed circuit board in between the two instrument mechanisms. Each of the instrument mechanisms act on an associated pointer. To minimize the height between the instrument mechanism and the pointer, the printed circuit board is arranged between the two instrument mechanisms and the rotation axes of the two instrument mechanisms are arranged so that they are essentially concentric with respect to one another. The drive to the pointer from the lower one of the instrument mechanisms is provided by a bracket or through the printed circuit board and a hollow shaft for the upper instrument mechanism.
Abstract: A crane installation, especially a container crane, for moving a load, especially a container, includes a first stored-programmable control unit which, if required, receives signals resulting in a safety-related control command to one or several electric or electro-mechanical operational elements, and a second stored-programmable control unit which is configured in such a way that it can at least partially monitor the control operation of the first control unit on the basis of safety-related signals transmitted to the second control unit. If the safety-related control command of the first control unit is improper, the second control unit is able to issue its own control command to an operating element.

Abstract: In radio transmission systems with point-to-point and point-to-multipoint topology a master station and one or several terminal stations are defined as well as a downstream channel from the master station to the terminal stations and an upstream channel from the terminal stations to the master station. In such systems, in order to send traffic to several terminal stations, the downstream channel is used by the master station in time division multiplexing. In some cases, the modulation type and the forward error correction, jointly called phy mode, depend on the addressed terminal. These systems are called adaptive phy mode systems. The present invention relates to adaptive phy mode systems, and it defines a power control technique for the terminal stations that also commands the phy mode switching and optimizes the system in terms of coverage, capacity and interference.
