Abstract: The present invention relates to a sheet-like composite comprising as layers of a layer sequence in a direction from an outer side of the sheet-like composite to an inner side of the sheet-like composite a) a carrier layer, and b) a barrier layer comprising i) a barrier substrate layer, and ii) a barrier material layer; wherein the barrier material layer has a thickness in a range from 1 nm to 1 ?m; wherein the barrier material layer overlies the barrier substrate layer on a layer surface of the barrier substrate layer that faces the inner side. The invention further relates to methods for producing a sheet-like composite, a container precursor and a closed container, and also to the aforesaid method products; to a further container precursor; to a further closed container; and to a use of the sheet-like composite.
Abstract: A sealing system for heat sealing superimposed walls of heat-sealable film material, e.g. in the production of pouches. The sealing section comprises two or more sealing stations arranged in series along a linear path for the superimposed walls dispensed from an infeed section. Each sealing station comprises a sealing device with first and second jaws and an actuator device to move the jaws between an opened position and a clamped position. Each sealing device comprises a motion device that is configured to move the first and second jaws in synchronicity with the superimposed walls when clamped between the first and second jaws. Each sealing station has a cooling device that is configured to continuously cool at least one of the jaws. At least each first jaw comprises at the respective front surface thereof at least one impulse heatable member embodied as a susceptor element that extends along the respective front surface.

Abstract: A closure assembly (1) comprising an article (10) with a tubular neck (11) and a cap (30) including an integrated tamper-evident ring member (50) and an integrated strap (70). The tamper-evident ring member is integrally formed to the lower edge (32c) of the skirt (32) of the cap and comprises an annular base portion (51) which is connected via one or more breakable bridges (53) to the skirt. The cap is a snap-on type cap and comprises a pair of wing-shaped handles (33) that each have, seen in side view thereon, an outer periphery (34) with a bottom side (34a), a top side (34b), and a tip (34c) remote from the skirt. The strap is integral at a first end (71) thereof to the annular base portion and at a second end (72) thereof to one of the wing-shaped handles and is adapted to remain connected to both the annular portion of the tamper-evident ring member and the respective wing-shaped handle upon removal of the cap from the neck of the article by the user.
