Patent number: 12294410Abstract: High-speed optical communication is very attractive to satisfy high throughput applications. In the meanwhile, it is also desirable to reduce the energy waste resulted from an idle state of the optical transceivers of the communication system. The present invention discloses that both the access point (1200) and the end point device (1100) can operate in at least two different operation states, a normal operation state and a low power state. The low power state is a default state, and the normal operation state is enabled only when a valid trigger is detected. To establish a high-speed optical link (60), the end point device (1100) first sends an optical trigger signal (50) to the access point (1200) in the low power state. The access pint (1200) switches to the normal operation state only when a valid trigger signal is identified after detecting the optical trigger signal (50).Type: GrantFiled: June 23, 2021Date of Patent: May 6, 2025Assignee: SIGNIFY HOLDING, B.V.Inventors: Andreas Felix Alfred Bluschke, Haimin Tao, Karnekumar Arulandu

Patent number: 12295082Abstract: A system and methods are provided for an immersive group lighting interaction. A lighting infrastructure includes a plurality of independently controllable lighting devices. According to an embodiment, users may be granted access to control at least a portion of the lighting infrastructure. Rather than requiring the user to manually control the lighting infrastructure using, for example, the touch screen, a sensor associated with the user's mobile device may track the user. The sensor data may be classified and then mapped to a corresponding control instruction to control the lighting infrastructure. In another embodiment, a computing system receives sensor classifications from multiple users. If a threshold amount of a type of classification is received, the computing system controls a lighting infrastructure according to that type of classification.Type: GrantFiled: August 4, 2020Date of Patent: May 6, 2025Assignee: SIGNIFY HOLDING B.V.Inventors: Yizhou Zang, Rohit Kumar, Ruohua Yin, Alexandru Darie, Andrew Mahoney, Yuming Huang

Patent number: 12279348Abstract: An isolated driver generates a PWM load drive level signal at the primary side and provides this to the secondary side via an optocoupler. Power consumption of the load is also sensed at the primary side. A drive level is sensed at the secondary side and compared at the secondary side with the load drive level to provide an error signal for the primary side controller. A frequency of the PWM load drive level signal is adjusted and the power consumption of the load is monitored in response to the frequency adjustment. The duty cycle of the PWM load drive level signal can then be adapted to compensate for errors introduced by the optocoupler.Type: GrantFiled: January 21, 2022Date of Patent: April 15, 2025Assignee: SIGNIFY HOLDING B.V.Inventors: Zadok Vitalis Socrates Kroeze, Adam Kurasz, Tijmen Cornelis Van Bodegraven
