Patents Assigned to Silvretta-Sherpas Sportartikel GmbH
  • Patent number: 5741023
Abstract: The binding, which is suitable for touring skis as well as snowboards, is constructed in two parts and includes a base part which is shorter than the conventional touring binding and is mounted on a narrow snowboard by means of a fastening part without projecting over the lateral edges of the snowboard. As a result of the decreased length, the clamped in boot projects beyond the base part. A fastening part formed by a bearing part and a lengthening piece is arranged in a stationary manner with respect to the ski so that this base part can also be used as a touring binding. The lengthening piece is supported at the bearing part in a swivelable manner. This lengthening piece can be inserted into and secured within an insert enclosure constructed at the base part.

  • Patent number: 5660416
Abstract: The clamping device for connecting a snowboard formed from two skis and a center part has a connection member which is supported on the center part so as to be swivelable around a swivel pin, this connection part having hooks formed at its ends which define corresponding receiving openings. Hardware fittings are arranged on the skis, wherein a movable hardware part is supported on a hardware part that is held on the ski in a stationary manner. Each movable hardware part has an eccentric with which hooks cooperate so as to effect a clamping after the rotation of the movable hardware parts and the compulsory rotation of the eccentrics.

  • Patent number: 5551728
Abstract: A gliding board, in particular a snowboard, which is formed by two skis and a central part connected by fittings, has a clamping device in the central region. The skis can be clamped against one another by the clamping device accompanied by deformation in the transverse direction so that the gliding board can be adjusted to a desired sidecut radius.

  • Patent number: 5394627
Abstract: The ski boot which is particularly suitable for ski jumping has a flexible sole which projects over the front boot cap for cooperating with a clamping device of a front sole holder. The projecting area of the boot sole has a half-rounded flute extending transversely to the longitudinal axis of the boot at its upper side. A cut out portion which is open toward the rear and sides is provided in the area of the boot heel and is penetrated by a peg which is received by the lower defining wall and the upper defining wall of the cut out portion and is arranged at a certain distance from the vertically arranged defining wall of the cut out portion. This peg serves to fasten a tension member which is detachably fastened to the peg by a clamp.

  • Patent number: 5364118
Abstract: The front sole holding device comprises a support bearing which is rotatably supported in lateral bearing blocks which are fixed with respect to the ski, the ski boot resting on the support bearing in a positive-locking manner in the cross-country skiing position. In order to achieve this positive-locking engagement, the boot sole comprises a recess which is adapted to the support bearing constructed as a straight-line shaft, the support bearing fitting into the recess. A tightener lever serves to hold the boot on this support bearing, which tightener lever is swivelably supported by means of tension bars and comprises, at its free end, a pressure piece which presses on the overlapping edge of the boot sole in its closing position, in which the tightener lever is located in a top dead center position.

  • Patent number: 5310206
Abstract: The safety binding has a base part which is fixed with respect to the ski, a release part which is supported so as to be rotatable relative to the base part, and a guide jaw with clamping device for clamping the boot sole. In order to support the release part relative to the base part, this release part has at least three guide rolls which are supported so as to be freely rotatable and have circumferential grooves in which guide flanges engage, which guide flanges are downwardly and inwardly bent at the underside of the release part and engage in the guide grooves with their inwardly bent edges. Cut out portions are located between the guide flanges so that the release part can be freed from the guide rolls after a determined rotation relative to the base part. A release cam having a central locking recess and two symmetrically arranged control cams is securely connected with the release part.
