    Abstract: A protective finishing composition for protecting nylon fibers comprises an aqueous mixture of a sulfonated aromatic aldehyde condensation stainblocker, a methacrylate stainblocker, a fluorocarbon-based repellant emulsion, and a naphthalene sulfonated salt fluorocarbon anti-coalescing agent in an amount effective to prevent said fluorocarbon based repellant emulsion from coalescing in the presence of the stainblockers.
