Patents Assigned to Simple Matter, Inc.
  • Patent number: 8622249
Abstract: A personal hydration system includes a control valve assembly including a valve body provided with a first inlet port fed by a liquid, a second inlet port, and an outlet port for dispensing at least fluid from the first inlet port. The control valve assembly further includes either a flexible and resilient or a non-collapsible reservoir which holds an additive and is mounted to the second inlet port. The first inlet port can be provided with a valve for preventing backflow of the additive from the reservoir, and the reservoir can be provided with a screen for disrupting coagulation of certain additives when mixed with liquid. A valve core is rotatably mounted in the valve body to establish various flow conditions.

  • Patent number: 8544688
Abstract: A personal hydration system includes a control valve assembly including a valve body provided with a first inlet port, a second inlet port, and an outlet port provided with a delivery hose for dispensing at least fluid from the hydration bladder. The control valve assembly further includes a non-collapsible reservoir which holds an additive and is directly mounted via a rigid connection to the second inlet port of the valve body. A supply hose is connected between the hydration bladder and the first inlet port of the valve body. A valve core is rotatably mounted in the valve body to establish at least either a single flow condition of the liquid or a mixed flow condition of the liquid and the additive. In the mixed flow condition, the liquid from the hydration bladder freely flows through the valve core and is admitted into and circulated through the reservoir to produce a mixture of liquid and additive deliverable to the outlet port.

  • Patent number: 8356422
Abstract: A drying system for drying a personal hydration system having a fill opening and a supply tube includes a dryer assembly providing a flow of forced air to be introduced into the fill opening of the personal hydration device. The dryer assembly includes seal-forming structure engageable with the fill opening to form a seal between the dryer assembly and the fill opening to enhance the pressurization and inflation of the personal hydration system. The dryer assembly also includes a channel defining a relief valve for permitting exhaust of air flow from the fill opening upon pressurization and inflation of the personal hydration system. The dryer assembly further includes a resilient cam arm for enabling the dryer assembly to sealingly fit variously sized fill openings.
