Abstract: A method of making an infinite number of hangers from a single sheet metal blank. The hangers are for connecting wood sawn and "I"-type members in the building construction industry. The hanger may be bent to form left and right skew hangers, up and down sloping hangers, and carry supported members of different widths as well as heights. By inserting spacers in the die, hangers of different heights, top flange and top tilted flange hangers may be provided. The design uses a hinged seat and an asymmetrical seat and back plate member. Tab members are outwardly turned and the tabs are constructed from a portion of the back plate member.

Abstract: A ridge rafter connector formed from a strip of sheet metal which encapsulates the sides of the rafter and is normally connected to the side and top of the ridge beam. The top flange of the connector is configured so that it provides a locator function for the rafter to be connected on the opposite side of the ridge beam.The connecting flange attached to the holding beam may be planar or bent to different angles for use at various locations and for different purposes.

Abstract: A double shear angled fastener sheet metal connector for connecting a wood held member to a wood holding member wherein the connector includes a side member formed with a restricted opening and a held-holding fastener driven at an angle through a portion of the end of the held member and into the holding member. The head end of the fastener is closely held by the metal side member. In the preferred form, the connector is formed with a header side which is fastened to the holding member thereby limiting bending of the held-holding fastener.

Abstract: A one piece connector for attaching a supported member such as a wood joist or beam to a supporting member or header in a sloped and/or skewed relationship including a back plate, side support members for attachment to the supporting members, a seat for registration with the end of the supported member, seat sides attached to the lower position of the supported member and tab members attached to the upper end portions of the supported member at their side faces.

Abstract: A gusset metal ledger hanger for attachment to metal ledgers wherein the hanger consists briefly of a top flange adapted for connection to the upper face of the outstanding ledger leg, a depending flange attached to the top flange and extending downwardly therefrom, first and second stirrup members attached to the depending flange and extending downwardly therefrom and adapted for holding a structural beam member, and a first gusset member operatively ridgedly connected to the top flange and having a top edge in registration with the lower face of the outstanding leg of the ledger and having a gusset foot attached to the outward face of the lower leg of the metal ledger.

Abstract: A singleside sheetmetal mudsill anchor for anchoring a sill plate to a concrete foundation having an embedded leg and a pair of laterally spaced arms connected to the upper end of the leg extending in a vertical plane parallel to each other and to the embedded leg. The arms are adapted for bending around the sill member and have fastener openings for connecting the anchor to the sill member.

Abstract: A variable pitch connector for attaching an inclined beam member to a bearing member. The connector is constructed to selectively support beams at different slopes. The connector is formed from a single sheet metal member consisting of three parts: a base which is attached to the bearing plate, an inclined seat member with side members adapted for attachment to the inclined beams and an upright member which is attached to the side of the bearing member. Adjustability is accomplished by varying the angle of the two bend lines attaching the three parts together.

Abstract: A singleside sheetmetal mudsill anchor for anchoring a sill plate to a concrete foundation having an embedded leg and a pair of splayed arms connected to the upper end of the leg extending outwardly to one side. The arms are adapted for bending around the sill member and have fastener openings for connecting the anchor to the sill member.
