Abstract: A container is provided for receiving a bag filled with a fluid, in particular a biopharmaceutical fluid, in which connector tubing is attached to the bag. The container includes a dish portion and a lid portion, and the dish portion is divided into a main compartment of the container and a tubing compartment of the container. The lid portion includes a main portion, a tubing portion, and a hinge between the main portion and the tubing portion, and the hinge is adapted to allow for an opening of the tubing portion while the main portion remains closed, such that the bag remains protected in the main compartment while the connector tubing in the tubing compartment is accessible from outside of the container.
Abstract: A method for freezing a liquid located in a container, in particular a liquid drug, includes exposing the container to a cooling element such as cold gas in order to freeze the liquid. The cold gas preferably flows around the container, and/or the liquid is cooled in another way in order to freeze the liquid. The container is insulated at a surface of at least one first volume portion of the container, and the container is cooled nearly immediately at a surface of a second volume portion of the container by the cold gas such that the liquid freezes through later in the at least one first volume portion than in the second volume portion.
Abstract: An arrangement includes a housing and a flexible container. The flexible container is arranged in the housing and filled with a medicine or another liquid which occurs in a pharmaceutical production process. The housing is at least partially lined with an elastic foam configured to compensate for an increase in volume of the flexible container that occurs upon freezing.
Abstract: A method for inspecting a seal of a flexible container for a fluid, particularly a fluid medication, includes covering the container at least in part—preferably completely—by a gas-permeable layer. The container, together with the gas-permeable layer, is arranged in a flexible, substantially gas-tight bag, and the substantially gas-tight bag is evacuated by pumping out via a bag opening. The container is filled with a noble gas, and the presence of noble gas, which escapes out of the bag opening from the container via a leak through the gas-permeable layer, is detected.
