  • Patent number: 11653740
Abstract: A cosmetic container including a wiper capable of avoiding a pumping phenomenon without deterioration in scraping effect is provided. A wiper fitted to an opening of a cosmetic container includes a plurality of tongue pieces having the same shape disposed evenly in a circumferential direction and extending downward inside the container. Regions of the tongue pieces adjacent to each other partially overlap in the circumferential direction and are joined integrally at the overlapping portion. A length of the tongue pieces in an axial direction gradually decreases from one circumferential side edge portion toward the other side edge portion. In the overlapping portion, a tongue piece side short in the axial direction is disposed inside so as to form a groove between the tongue pieces, extending in the circumferential direction, that allows for air to pass between outside and inside spaces of the wiper.

  • Patent number: 11357307
Abstract: A cosmetic applicator capable of being extended and retracted may comprise a shaft having a twofold structure in which there are an outer cylinder having an inner surface on which a projection is provided and an inner cylinder having an outer surface on which a guide groove that guidingly engages with the projection is provided. The guide groove may have two transverse grooves that extend in a circumferential direction and a second longitudinal groove that extends in an axial direction connecting the two transverse grooves. The guide groove may also have a first longitudinal groove that is provided at a location different in the circumferential direction from that of the second longitudinal groove and that extends in an axial direction, from that transverse groove which of the two transverse grooves is nearer a tip having an applying portion, to the tip, for easy removable attachment of the outer cylinder.

  • Patent number: 10897975
Abstract: Provided is a cosmetic applicator having a coil spring at an applying portion thereof with which mascara may be easily applied to eyelashes. It is preferred that the coil spring not be exactly helicoidal, it being preferred that radial distance from the central axis to the outermost circumferential surface be made to vary as a function of angular position about the central axis. Variation in radial distance from the central axis to the outermost circumferential surface of the coil spring may occur in a repeating pattern of periodicity different from the pitch of the coil spring, causing coil spring shape element(s) to shift in angular position with each turn of the coil spring. Mascara may be held in spaces between adjacent coils, presence of bent portions which shift in the circumferential direction making it possible for the applying portion to easily retain mascara.

  • Patent number: 10674807
Abstract: A cosmetic brush is provided that is capable of enhancing an ability to retain a liquid cosmetic material and making fine adjustment to the eyelashes easier. The cosmetic brush comprises a core wire part and a bristle group radially attached to the core wire part around an axis of the core wire part continuously in a helical state in an axial direction of the core wire part. The bristle group has bristles each constituted by integrating a basic fiber made up of a plurality of bundled constituent fibers and a wound fiber helically wound around an outer circumferential surface of the basic fiber.

  • Patent number: 9259074
Abstract: A cosmetic application tool is provided which includes an applying portion attached and integrated with a leading end portion of a brush shaft. The applying portion includes a flat, plate-shaped portion surrounded by a hollow, skirt-shaped portion at its distal end. When the brush shaft is drawn out of a cosmetic container, the skirt-shaped hollow portion of the applying portion is flattened by a wiper provided in a surrounding manner within the cosmetic container, so that some of the liquid cosmetic that has been pooled in the skirt-shaped hollow portion is pushed out over the flat plate-shaped portion while some is retained in the skirt-shaped hollow portion of the applying portion.

  • Publication number: 20140076350
Abstract: Provided is a tool for applying cosmetics for mascara and eyebrow cosmetics which allows applying a liquid cosmetic in an appropriate amount to eyelashes or eyebrows, and with which a previously unexperienced feeling of use can be obtained. In an application tool (1) for which a plurality of bristles (30) are fixed in a double-folded manner to the inside of a long groove (12), which is formed at a partial side surface of a brush portion (10) formed at a leading end side of a brush shaft (6), comb teeth (26) are integrally formed at a predetermined pitch in a brush portion axial direction on an exposed surface (21) of the fastener (20). As a result of forming the comb teeth (26) in a space that is wide between two lines of bristle groups (30a, 30b), the liquid pool space is narrowed accordingly, so that excessive pooling of a liquid cosmetic (2) in the brush portion (10) can be prevented.

  • Publication number: 20120011674
Abstract: To provide a user-friendly and easy-to-use cosmetic applicator equipped with a brush section having thin, tapered, plastic brush fibers each having a round cross section and a rounded tip, yet the brush as a whole having adequate stiffness, not too stiff nor too soft for applying a cosmetic without hurting facial skin. A cosmetic applicator has an applicator shaft 30 made of a first plastic resin, a brush section 40 made of a second plastic resin softer than the first plastic resin and securely fixed to the leading end of the applicator shaft 30. The brush section has a base 42 securely fixed to the leading end of the applicator shaft 30 and a brush 44 consisting of a multiplicity of tapered thin brush fibers that are integrally molded with the base 42 to extend forward from the base 42. Each brush fiber has a round cross section and a rounded tip. The brush includes thick stiff fibers 44a mixed with thin soft fibers 44b.

  • Patent number: 7223034
Abstract: A liquid-cosmetic applicator is provided having a wiper formed on the inside of an elongated opening of a liquid-cosmetic container for scraping off the liquid cosmetic that adheres to the stem of a stemmed brush. The wiper includes at least two wiper domains that overlap along the longitudinal axis of said opening, each domain having a scraping section at one axial end, and a non-scraping section at an opposite end, the scraping sections being axially offset from one another and having sides that mutually engage along at least one interface. The interface provides a gap between said stem when said stem of said brush engages said scraping sections of said wiper domains that in turn defines an air passage that allows air to axially flow through said wiper as said stem is being wiped thereby eliminating unwanted suction forces when the applicator is withdrawn from the container.
