  • Patent number: 9759401
Abstract: A lamp, comprising at least one light source (3), arranged in a housing (1) having at least one light exit opening, and at least one reflector (4), which is shaped in such a way that the light coming from the light source (3) is divided into at least two light beams, the light exit opening being at least partially covered by a cover panel (5), which has two surface portions (5a, 5b) on which the respectively corresponding light beams impinge, the surface portions (5a, 5b) being shaped in such a way that the predominant part of the light beams that is respectively directed onto a surface portion (5a, 5b) impinges on the surface portion (5a, 5b) at an angle of incidence which is less than 60°, in order to reduce the reflections from the cover panel (5).

  • Patent number: 9572225
Abstract: Various embodiments may relate to a method for determining life expectancy information of an LED module with a plurality of LEDs. The method includes detecting of forward biases of the LED module at instants of time which lie less than 100 ms apart from each other, comparing a currently detected forward bias with one or more earlier detected forward biases, in order to detect a voltage jump which reaches a minimum initial inverse voltage within a predetermined jump duration, wherein the minimum initial inverse voltage is at least 60 mV and the predetermined jump duration is less than 100 ms long, and determining life expectancy information based on one or more detected voltage jumps.

  • Patent number: 8814384
Abstract: A luminaire, in particular an outdoor luminaire, comprising a luminous means mount surface (10) on which a plurality of LED modules (20) are arranged, wherein the LED modules (20) respectively have a matrix of a plurality of LEDs (22), which are arranged in a plane (24), and a reflector strip (26), which adjoins on one edge of the plane (24) and is angled with respect to the plane (24), wherein the LEDs (22) each have an integrated optical unit which, in a cross section through the LED (22) perpendicular to the plane (24), creates two maxima of the luminous intensity distribution of the respectively individual LED (22), which maxima are deflected laterally with respect to the surface normal (28) of the plane (24) through the LED (22), wherein the light radiation from the LED (22) is reflected by the reflector strip (26) in one of the two maxima.

  • Patent number: 7207699
Abstract: A system composed of a plurality of light units with each light unit having different light emission properties. The component parts of each of the light units, such as optically effective components that influence the beam path of the light emitted by the lamp, and end cap reflectors are of a standard dimension so that light units of different configurations can use the same elements to reduce the number of different parts required for the group of different light units of the system.

  • Patent number: 6231209
Abstract: In a long field lighting fixture or lighting fixture with a linear lighting field, which is capable of forming a light screen or row of light fixtures that is reduced to its functionally critical parts, the lamp housing is composed of a single-piece reflector arrangement that is fashioned mirror-symmetrically with reference to a vertical middle lamp plane. This is composed of a thin-walled material whose surface is finely structured in a stiffening fashion by surface shaping at least in sub-areas. Facing away from its light exit opening, the reflector arrangement also comprises a pair of outwardly salient, mutually spaced legs, which are spaced apart by a cover surface, for the acceptance of electrical and/or mechanical lighting fixture component parts. Connector elements for a screen arrangement are formed either by end face parts or plates of the lighting fixture itself or by individual elements.
