Abstract: A method and system for safely backing up secure information of an SE in a terminal to a secure server, and then safely restoring the backed-up secure information to the SE of the terminal or another terminal is provided. The method for managing the SE includes: identifying secure information; generating backup data; transmitting the backup data to a secure server; and restoring the backup data to the SE or another SE. The identifying the secure information includes, in response to a backup command on the secure information of the SE, identifying the secure information stored in the SE. The generating the backup data includes generating backup data using at least part of the identified secure information. The transmitting the backup data to the secure server include setting a secure channel between the secure server and the SE, and transmitting the backup data from the SE to the secure server through the secure channel and storing the backup data.

Abstract: A Micro-Secure Digital (“SD”) device loaded with a smart card that can be issued in bulk and in card form is provided. The device includes: a SD interface electrically connected to a host terminal; at least one memory module; a SD controller connected to the SD interface to provide communication between a host terminal and the memory module; at least one smart card IC for data communication with the SD controller; and a smart card interface for issuing smart cards. Since the Micro-SD device is provided with a smart card function and a card form satisfying the ISO 7810 standard, it may be issued in bulk through automation using a conventional automatic card-issuing device that automatically issues a credit card or a USIM card.

Abstract: A method for provisioning a service to a smart card of a user mobile terminal and a system for provisioning a service by applying the same are provided. The method for provisioning the service includes: triggering an application installed in a user mobile terminal; connecting a channel with the triggered application; and provisioning a service to a smart card of the user mobile terminal via the application. Accordingly, a service provider can obtain a channel for installing its service in the smart card of the user mobile terminal.

Abstract: A removable tray integrated smart card and a mobile terminal adopting the same are provided. The smart card includes: a case configured to be removable into/from a smart card insertion slot of a mobile terminal; and a secure element provided in the case, wherein the case is removable into/from the smart card insertion slot without being placed on a tray. Accordingly, the smart card such as a USIM-card can be inserted into the mobile terminal without using the tray. In addition, since the size of the smart card increases as the smart card is unified with the tray, many high performance antennas and wireless modules can be inserted into the smart card and thus wireless communication performance of the smart card can be enhanced.

Abstract: Provided is a system and method for reducing fraud related to payment using a mobile application. A method for a mobile transaction enables a server of a third party rather than a merchant and a consumer, to verify whether the consumer of the mobile transaction is valid or not in response to a verification request related to the mobile transaction. Accordingly, since the third party can verify whether the consumer of the mobile transaction and an application for purchasing are valid or not, verification reliability with respect to a mobile payment can be improved and thus damage caused by payment fraud can be remarkably reduced.

Abstract: A method and system for providing information using a prior agreement procedure via proximity communication is provided. Upon receiving a request for an information providing agreement from a mobile terminal which is capable of proximity communication, the information providing method transmits the information providing agreement. Accordingly, since the mobile terminals request/allow the information providing agreement by using the proximity communication, the information leakage/exposure caused by an illegal use of other's name or identity theft can be prevented beforehand. In particular, since this process requires the users to meet face to face, the security can be further enhanced.

Abstract: A communication interface method for an SE equipped on a mobile terminal and an SE using the same are provided. The communication interface method includes: connecting, by a communication manager installed in an SE equipped on a mobile terminal, to a server via the mobile terminal; and executing, by the communication manager, communication processes between an applet which is installed in the SE separately from the communication manager, and the server. Accordingly, since the communication processes between the applet and the server are executed by the separate communication manager other than the applet, the processing function is omitted from the applets so that the applets can be simplified.

Accordingly, the key deployed in the SE can be replaced online by the user's request.
