    Abstract: A lining element (10) for mounting onto an inner surface of a drum mantle (56) in a grinding mill, comprising an elongated lifter member (12) of a wear resistant material adapted to be axially oriented with respect to the drum mantle and to project radially into the drum, and an elongated single-piece support member (26) of an elastomeric material adapted to resiliently support the elongated lifter member over a full length thereof above the inner surface of the drum mantle. The support member is extended peripherally in a rearward direction with respect to an operational forward direction of rotation of the drum into contact with a subsequent lining element (10) to be mounted onto the inner surface, and to cover entirely therebetween the inner surface of the drum mantle.

    Abstract: An arrangement for recording the instant volume of grinding charge in the mill drum of a rotary drum mill of the kind provided with an internal lifting device. In order to enable the volume of grinding charge to be used in a better way as a parameter for controlling mill operation, the lifting device is resilient and is provided with a load detecting device which, during each drum revolution, detects when the lifting device comes into engagement with, and is in engagement with the grinding charge present in the drum and leaves, or is caused to leave, engagement with the grinding charge. The arrangement also includes a tension sensing device which registers the tension on the load detector, this tension being contingent on the load to which the lifting device is subjected by the grinding charge.

    Abstract: A wear resistant lining element for a rotary grinding mill. The element, which is made of elastomeric material, is provided on its leading side with respect to rotation with a hard wear layer made, for example, of steel. The hard wear layer is backed and supported by the elastomeric material of the element to which it is secured by chemical and/or mechanical bonding. With this arrangement, the elastomeric component cushions the hard wear layer and provides damping during grinding impact and minimizes cracking of the hard layer and scrap loss.

    Abstract: This invention relates to a wear means, which is arranged within a rotary drum barker as a wear protection of the drum mantle and is connected with this by means of a bolt joint. In rotary drum barkers the regions, where discharge openings for the bark are arranged, are subjected to a heavy wear. Therefore the wear means of the invention are preferably arranged in these areas. What characterizes the wear means of the invention is that it includes a wear body (4) of wear-resistant rubber and a prestressing means (13) which is connected to the wear body (4) so that it absorbs forces. Moreover, the wear means has a sleeve-shaped central portion (15) in connection with the prestressing means (13), the central portion (15) extending into a hole (17) in the drum mantle (1) of a bolt (6) included in the bolt joint and surrounding this.
