  • Patent number: 7118280
Abstract: Sealing device for a rolling contact bearing (2) provide with a first shield (5) and second shield (7) which a re made of metal material and which are respectively coupled to an outer race (4) and an inner race (3) of the rolling contact bearing (2) itself, and a seal (10) which is made of synthetic material and which is integral to the first shield (5) and which presents a sealing lip (11) which is arranged substantially in contact with the second shield (7); the first shield (5) is defined by a cylindrical portion (15) which is assembled on the outer race (4), and the seal (10) is anchored to the cylindrical portion (15) in order to freely extend from and overhand the cylindrical portion (15) itself and presents, in axial section, a tapering shape towards a cylindrical sliding surface (13) of the second shield (7).

  • Patent number: 6705762
Abstract: A bearing-suspension standard assembly for a motor vehicle wheel comprises a standard (10) with an essentially cylindrical seat (11), and a bearing unit (12) with a non-rotating outer race (13) fixedly mounted in the seat (11). A cementing material (16) is applied at one of the axial ends of the seat (11) so as to lock the bearing unit (12) in the seat (11).

  • Patent number: 6379050
Abstract: In a vehicle wheel hub bearing unit the bearing forms a rotating radial flange (11) adapted for securing to a radial flange (12) of a disc or drum brake member and rotate fixedly therewith. The brake flange (12) is located in the same radial plane of the bearing flange (11) and secured directly to the peripheral portion thereof. Radial bulk of the bearing assembly is reduced and deformation of the bearing races and braking surface is avoided.

  • Patent number: 5957590
Abstract: In a sealing device for angular contact ball bearings comprises an outer race (20), a pair of inner adjacent half-races (30, 31) and two sets of balls (40, 41) interposed between the outer race (20) and the two inner half-races (30, 31), respectively. The sealing device is mounted to one (30) of the two inner half-races (30, 31) in an axially external position and comprises a body of resiliently yieldable material. The sealing device comprises a retaining lip (14) so shaped as to face a concave surface (22) fast with the outer race (20) and stop against said surface (22) to prevent the inner half-race (30) from coming off when not locked in its operation position yet.

  • Patent number: 5902065
Abstract: In a device for gauging relative rotational speed between the races of a bearing unit, a sensor is mounted to a fixed part and faces a rotating impulse ring. The sensor is incorporated within a detachable head (12) having releasable quick coupling means (13, 20), such as a clip, for mounting to a corresponding quick coupling seat (14), such as an appendix, rigid with the non-rotating race (15) of the bearing assembly. The appendix (14) is oriented in an axial or slightly inclined direction with respect to the axis of rotation. Mounting and removal of the head (12) is accomplished with a simple movement in said direction.

  • Patent number: 5383728
Abstract: A sealing shield, particularly for rolling bearings, of the type wherein relatively soft, elastic peripheral portions are secured to a relatively rigid intermediate portion; the intermediate portion consisting of a single rigid annular insert formed from a synthetic plastic polymer; and the relatively soft peripheral portions being preferably in the form of independent elements co-molded on to the annular insert and formed from a mixture of an elastomer and the same synthetic plastic polymer from which the annular insert is formed. In a preferred embodiment, the annular insert has a trapezoidal radial cross-section.
