Abstract: A drop protection device for actuator devices of the type which are intended to raise and lower a load. The drop protection device includes a sleeve shaped member which, during normal operation of the actuator rotates along with a threaded spindle of the actuator. During rapid acceleration of the spindle, such as that experienced when the drive gear breaks down and the spindle rotates freely so as to cause the load to uncontrollably drop, the sleeve shaped member will, as a result of its mass inertia, be brought into contact with a stop device for preventing further rotation of the spindle. Thus, the drop protection device prevents the load from being damaged or causing damage to peripheral equipment or individuals.
Abstract: A plastic chain includes chain elements that are connected to one another by way of connecting shafts, rods or similar devices. The chain elements include a recess in which is received a connecting element. The connecting element can have a guide element extending therefrom for guiding the chain, and a locking element extending therefrom for restraining axial movement of the connecting shafts.
Abstract: A linear conveying unit comprises a rail and a saddle movable therealong. The rail includes two pairs of tracks, with the tracks of each pair being convergent. The saddle carries front and rear groups of wheels for engaging the tracks. Each wheel group includes two pairs of wheels, each pair of wheels having convergent axes of rotation. To adjust the saddle in order to eliminate any gaps between the wheels and tracks, only one wheel of each wheel group is made to be radially adjustable. That adjustment is effected by an eccentric sleeve surrounding the wheel axle. The saddle is moved by a drive belt, the ends of which are connected to the saddle by quick-release couplings. The saddle includes a recess which is covered by a metallic tape that is magnetically attracted to a pair of magnetic rims.
Abstract: A chain wheel for conveyor installations with chain conveyor belts, and which chain wheel is mounted on the drive shaft (5) of the driving device for the conveyor belt. The chain wheel is designed in such a manner that it can be easily repaired and altered as to number of teeth, design of hub and number of tooth rims. It incorporates as a basic unit a pair of hub portions (1, 2) detachably connected against each other, between which, as a separate unit is clamped a tooth rim (3) comprising at least two sections 3a, 3b).
