Patents Assigned to SKY CP LIMITED
  • Publication number: 20230224541
Abstract: Systems and methods are described for power control in a media receiver device having a plurality of electronic components, using a trained model. Input signals are received from at least one electronic component. An alertness state of the device is determined using a machine learning based determiner trained to process the received input signals and predict a subsequent alertness state identifying at least one additional component or device. Power consumption by the identified components and devices is controlled based on the predicted alertness state.

  • Publication number: 20230141582
Abstract: Systems and methods for digital watermarking at a content distribution network, CDN, node are described, whereby source data intended for at least one recipient is received from an origin server, the source data including a plurality of encrypted segments interleaved with at least one non-encrypted segment. Metadata is detected in the source data, the metadata identifying each non-encrypted segment, and in response, the source data is modified for each recipient, by embedding a recipient-specific digital watermark to at least a portion of a non-encrypted segment in the source data. The modified source data is then transmitted to each respective recipient. Other embodiments are also described and claimed.

  • Patent number: 11636335
Abstract: Systems and methods for presenting content to a user are described. A trained neural network is stored in memory, defining input nodes representing respective attribute values of attribute types, and weights embodying strengths of connections between the input nodes and hidden nodes, as trained for the particular user. Sub-models of the neural network are defined from sets of input nodes of the same attribute type and a corresponding hidden state matrix of trained weights. A request for content assets is processed using a retrieved first sub-model corresponding to a query attribute type and second sub-model corresponding to a target attribute type, to determine relevancy parameters for the user. Content assets are selected for presentation by a media receiver device, based on the determined relevancy parameters. Other embodiments are also described and claimed.

  • Publication number: 20220286440
Abstract: Systems and methods for secure content delivery are described, whereby a software application is provided to a plurality of client devices, the software application configured to implement an application code library. A respective application code library is provided to each one of the plurality of client devices, wherein each application code library implements a respective cryptography key. A CDN cryptographically verifies that a received request was generated using the respective application code library of the requesting client device, before delivering content to the software application on the requesting client device. Other embodiments are also described and claimed.

  • Publication number: 20210200799
Abstract: Systems and methods for recommending content in a media system are described. In an embodiment, the method identifies a reference metadata tag associated with content in a database, retrieves a data structure storing information of learned associations between the reference metadata tag and a plurality of other metadata tags, the data structure defining a tree of nodes each associated with a corresponding metadata tag, a root node of the retrieved tree associated with the identified reference metadata tag. A path is extracted from the data structure, spanning from the reference metadata tag to a target metadata tag, the extracted path identifying a sequence of metadata tags defined by nodes along the extracted path. Recommended content items are returned based on the sequence of metadata tags identified by the extracted path.

  • Patent number: 11006174
Abstract: In a substitutional media system, one of a set of media items is selected at a programme receiver for output within a predefined programming slot, based on profile data available at the receiver. Sets of the media items are scheduled to slots according to one or more constraints pertaining to that slot and/or to media items scheduled to other slots. The receiver may select a media item for output in a slot by resolving constraints with media items scheduled to other slots, or selected for output in other slots.
