  • Patent number: 11120582
Abstract: An apparatus and method for coupled medical image formation and medical image signal recovery using a dual domain network is disclosed. The dual-domain network includes a first deep neural network (DNN) to perform signal recovery in a sensor signal domain and a second DNN to perform signal recovery in an image domain. A sensor signal is acquired by a sensor of a medical imaging device. A refined sensor signal is generated from the received sensor signal using the first DNN. A first reconstructed medical image is generated from the received sensor signal. A second reconstructed medical image is generated from the refined sensor signal generated by the first DNN. An enhanced medical image is generated based on the both the first reconstructed medical image and the second reconstructed medical image using the second DNN. The enhanced medical image generated by the second DNN is displayed.

  • Publication number: 20150289329
Abstract: A method and apparatus for controlling gain factor in a driver device for a lighting device according to the input voltage signal to reduce output current or output power dependency on the amplitude of the input voltage signal. One method couples an input voltage signal to the input port of the driver device and couples an output branch to the output port of the driver device. The gain factor is adjusted according to the input voltage signal to reduce output current or output power dependency on input voltage amplitude of the input voltage signal. The gain factor can also be configured according to a reference voltage and the output voltage across the output port to deliver a substantially constant output power.

  • Patent number: 8581498
Abstract: Methods and apparati for controlling bleed current (IBLEED) in a driver circuit (20) for a lighting device (23). A method embodiment of the present invention comprises the steps of coupling a dimmer (21) to an input of the driver circuit (20), and forcing the bleed current (IBLEED) to be inversely proportional to the time-averaged voltage (VLEDP) at said lighting device (23). The dimmer (21) consumes power even when the lighting device (23) is not emitting light.

Abstract: The emergency location information gateway provides Public Safety Answering Points (PSAPs) with the capability to receive NG911-compliant (i.e., Session Initiation Protocol (SIP-based) and/or SIP-Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP)) and other types emergency calls including embedded emergency location information and determine a physical location of a mobile or non-mobile target network device based on the embedded emergency location information. Conversely, a legacy network gateway (LGN) enables the conversion of traditional 911, and E911 calls into NG911 calls for transport and dissemination by so-called Emergency Services IP networks, or ESInets.

  • Patent number: 7551145
Abstract: An antenna (10) having a top (14), a bottom (16), and a longitudinal axis (20). An outer shell (12) of electrically conductive material is provided which is coaxial with the longitudinal axis, and which includes an outer top wall (22) joining with an outer side wall (24) that extends toward the bottom of the antenna. The shell defines an interior region (18) that is filled with a dielectric material, and the shell has at least one slot (30) with opposed slot ends. Each slot extends from one opposed slot end in the side wall, and at least partially across the top wall to an opposed other slot end. A coaxial feed (32) extends from the bottom of the antenna to the top of the antenna, to convey electromagnetic energy to or from the top wall of the antenna.

  • Patent number: 7397323
Abstract: A waveguide orthomode transducer. In a first layer a turnstile junction having a main waveguide and four waveguide ports, and four hybrid tees each have an e-port, two opposed side-ports, and an h-port. The hybrid tees are ring-arranged around the turnstile junction so the waveguide ports each communicate with one h-port, so adjacent hybrid tees inter communicate with their respective side-ports, and so the e-ports form two sets of opposed e-ports. In a second layer two h-plane power dividers/combiners each have an axial-port and two opposed side-ports. The h-plane power dividers/combiners are arranged so their respective side-ports communicate with different ones of the two sets of opposed e-ports and so their axial-ports are polarization ports. This permits a single signal with two fundamental orthogonally polarized modes to enter the main waveguide and exit separated at the polarization ports vice versa.

  • Patent number: 5429084
Abstract: An axial vane rotary device (14) includes a stator (16)with a cylindrical internal chamber (34) defined an annular outer wall (40) and two side walls (36, 38) of the stator. Each side wall has an annular cam surface (42, 44). A rotor (54) is rotatably mounted within the chamber. The rotor has an annular outer wall (66) and a plurality of angularly spaced-apart, axially extending slots (64) extending therethrough. A vane (68) is slidably received in each slot. The vanes reciprocate axially and alternatively expand and compress spaces between adjacent vanes and the cam surfaces as the rotor rotates. The cam surfaces have alternating first portions (92) and second portions (90). The second portions are further from the rotor than the second portions. The first portions of one said cam surface are aligned with second portions of another said cam surface. The slots extend radially outwards on the rotor to the annular outer wall thereof.
